laiti (8513) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 9, 2013
Draught @ Pikkulintu
Aroma is sweet with caramel, toffee and some odd grainy tones. Flavour has lots of sweet caramel, toffee and distant herbal notes. Like a tikkunekku in liquid form. Wouldn’t have been able to recognize the spruce shots without knowing. Too sweet and sticky, even this 25cl is too much.

jackl (8423) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Tap @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep amber with a small head. The nose is fresh herbal hop, wood, orange marmalade. The taste is very strong herb garden, flowers, aromatic orange. Wood and plenty of earl gray on the finnish. Light body, good!

Sampled at BBF, pours brown color with small to medium head. Lots of Norwegian spruce in the smell and also in the flavor. Also some tree nuts, caramel malt, raisin, and fig. Body was medium to fuller. Nice if you like spruce.

Sigmund (7916) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 7, 2012
On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Deep orange to red colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate aroma of spruce, hints of dust. Medium sweet flavour, distinct notes of spruce twigs, reminds me of Alba (Williams Brothers / Heather Ales). Interesting beer!

3.2
mjs (7685) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 17, 2012
(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120817) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours had malts, spruce, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had spruce, sweetness and bitterness. The beer was very sweet but the spruce sprout flavours balanced it quite well towards the end.
