(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120817) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours had malts, spruce, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had spruce, sweetness and bitterness. The beer was very sweet but the spruce sprout flavours balanced it quite well towards the end. olsvammel (7220) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 30, 2011
Sample at SMÖF 2011. It poured a dark brown-amber liquid. Smell of caramel, malt and spruce. The taste was very special and hard to describe. sweet malty with some candy and spruce. An unusual beer, but I liked it. PhillyCraft (7219) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2015
Sampled at BBF, pours brown color with small to medium head. Lots of Norwegian spruce in the smell and also in the flavor. Also some tree nuts, caramel malt, raisin, and fig. Body was medium to fuller. Nice if you like spruce. VastActiv (7040) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 6, 2013

Draught at SMÖF 2011. Clear copper, medium beige head. Fruity and caramelly with some odd spicy notes with vague pine needles character. Medium bodied and smooth. Semi dry with medium bitterness. This was the "gold foam" winner at SMÖF 2011 which I find very odd. jookos (6762) - FINLAND - SEP 14, 2013

Brown amber, hazy. Strangely herby spicy, a bit of funky notes. Cola- like flavours, pine needles. Earthy stuff. A lot of everything. For a spiced ale, ok. I like the slight funky things.
Rich, well balanced. Spruce juice, spices, nice bitter finish. Interesting! Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2013

Beige lacing on top of a clear orange colored beer.
Aroma is a mix of raspberry, resin, bark, wood, roosvicee, cream and apricot.
Flavours of raspberry, hops, malts, bitter, some herbs and a light woody touch.
Aftertaste is bitter, sweet, creamy and malts.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.
On draft @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. Clear amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, light caramel, fruity hops and pine. Flavor is soft malty, caramel, pleasant bitterness, fruit and pine. It actually gives me some feeling of forest in the flavor. Medium body. Very nice and balanced.
