Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty smoky woody aroma. Roasted malty woody weak smoky chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty woody smoky chocolate and caramel finish. Sean9689 (285) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Bottle out of the cellar...shared with a huge hag.
A - Pours a dark brown/black, light tan-colored head.
S - Classic Narke Stormaktsporter base with a mix of smoke and oak. There’s a lot more smoke then I thought there would be, but it work. Chocolate, oak, smoke, roast, and toffee. Really good stuff.
T - The oak is easily detectable, but not overpowering. Roast, chocolate, oak, toffee, and light expresso. Basically Stormaktsporter mixed with a dose of smoke and oak. The smoke is not on the level of the Rausch Kaggen!, but it’s there for sure.
M - Medium to full, soft and creamy finish, so good.
O - I am a huge fan of this beer. Better then the Cognac but not quite as good as the Kaggen!. Somewhere in the middle of all that awesomeness. Want more...plz thx! madmitch76 (24789) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2012

On tap at Borefts I. Opaque black stout, softish palate but also a little dry. Sweetish malt. The smoky whisky is subtle but contrasts nicely with the sweet wood of the oak. A warming and slightly spicy finish.
Volltreffer!! 11/13/13/13//13

Bottle… This beer rocks!... Pitch black ale with a mid-sized, creamy, brown head. The nose is of rich milk chocolate and coconut with a small dose of peaty smoke. The flavor offers terrific balance between sweet chocolate malts, oaken whiskey and modest burnt bitterness. Full-bodied and creamy with tingly carbonation. Burnt, bitter, lightly smoky, chocolate finish. World class brew! koekiesbakker (89) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 18, 2010
Basically regular kaggen with added smoke and peat, very nice and well integrated. larsniclas (7068) - Billdal, SWEDEN - AUG 5, 2010

At SBWF 2009. Black colored beer with a brown head. Kinda mild aroma, milky, malty with some whisky. Huge malty whisky flavor, oak, wood, dryish, chocolate and cocoa. Not as good as the original Kaggen, but still a good beer. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 6, 2010
Draught @ Borefts Beer Festival 2009 - De Molen.
Unclear dark dark brown almost black color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, caramel, smoke - peat, wood, light earth, honey ? Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and creamy, carbonation is soft to flat. A Kaggen with extra smoke notes ! I prefere the original Kaggen ;O) but I also like this one very much .. world class beers from Närke.
