On tap at Borefts festival 2012. Oily black body with a brown rim. Nose rich with sweet liquorice, cognac, hops, coffee and heavy roasted notes. Vanilla, oak, heavy sweet and roasted flavors with plenty of coffee. Full bodied and pungent. Oily texture and a long finish. Lovely. snzcujo (282) - RUSSIA - OCT 2, 2012
On tap @Borefts fest 2012.
Pours totally black with a tiny brownish head.
Aroma is quite light, mostly caramel sweetness and roasted barley.
But taste is awesome, very elegant and complex.
Aftertaste has a good pack of hop bitterness with a sweet hint.

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours oily black with a creamy, brown head. Rich bitter chocolate nose, soft roasted malts. Medium sweet flavor, rich chocolate, some dark raisins, soft smokey wood. Medium to full bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Faintly warming to finish with full and rich dark, bitter chocolate, light roast. Just unbelievably drinkable. The character is really well realised, and I can’t recall many imperial stouts that drink as effortlessly as this one. A top beer of the festival. Keg @ Borefts 2012. First beer of the festival! The pour’s a deep, thick dark brown with a tiny tan head. The nose is soft bruised apple, sugar-coated wood, ketchup, umami. The taste is roasted wood, big syrupy chocolate. More yellow apple and plenty of sweet cognac. Dry, smooth finish. Very oily and viscous. The body’s big, but not boozy or menacing at all. The texture’s oily, luxurious. Smooth and dangerously easy to drink. Soft carbonation. Overall, wow, a great beer. Subtle flavors presented in wonderful harmony. Not over the top, just delicious. Imperial stouts don’t need to be boozy bombs.

at BBF 12.. no real scent, no foam, nice heavy mouthfeel, litle carbonation. nice, balanced, but to me not woth the hype, at all . madsberg (11776) - Søborg, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2012
Draught. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma: cocoa, roast, cognac, oak, liqourice, coffee and then some. Flavour: Cocoa, roast, caramel, coffe, grass, alcohol, oak. Full bodied. Ends roasted bitter with an oaky twist. Nice one. mike_77 (7034) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2012
Cognac and alcohol come through in the aroma. Very thick, it really coats the tongue. Warming taste of cognac and bitter tar leads to a bittersweet finish. sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - SEP 30, 2012
On tap at Borefts. Poured dark and syrupy, aroma is of heavy fruit and liquorice. Flavour is heavy and roasted. Like trying to drink treacle. Idiosynkrasie (7851) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - SEP 30, 2012
On tap at 4th Borefts. Pitch black colour with thick, reawakening, lacing, brown head. Complex sweet dark malty aroma with notes of vanilla, smoke, roast, wood.
