Draught at Borefts Beer Festival 2010, 2009 version, courtesy of Håge - thanks! Very black, dark brown head. Aroma of brandy, chocolate, raisins, vanilla. Alcohol slightly more noticeable in this one. Very complex. Wonderful brew. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 10, 2010
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Pours a pitch black beer with a firm chocolate head. The aroma is roasted, sweetness, coffee and some licorice. The flavor is roasted, wood, sweetness, some licorice and notes of smoke. The palate is roasted with sweetness and smooth. Overall a beer close to perfect. Nice balance, good complexity and a nice experience. AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - MAR 22, 2011
Thanks to Darren (lagomsweden) for sharing this gem. Pours deep brown with a finger thick dark tan head. Huge wonderful nose of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is incredibly smooth and balanced with the same influences as the nose, with the addition of a long and lasting finish, ending in what seems to be toasted marshmallows. A huge treat. Thanks Darren! kermis (13201) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAY 26, 2011

On tap at HaandBryggeriet Beer Festival, Drammen. Pitch black colour, brown head. Lovely complex aroma, cognac, oak, vanilla, roasty notes (coffee, liquorice). Excellent flavour, medium sweet and distinctly roasty, notes of cognac, oak, coffee, caramel and liquorice. Top notch! Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 24, 2013
Pours black with a small tan head, quick to leave.
Smell is surprisingly fruity. Bit of ashy roast.
Taste smooth sweet coco powder with a sweet cognac finish. Bit of tangy red fruit, good barrel presence still after 3 years.
Mid to full bodied, you can taste alcohol but don’t get much of a burn. Very well balanced.
Well done. I think this lives up to the hype. joergen (28102) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2010
Draught at Borefts Bier Festival 2010.
Pitch black coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Roasted aroma of caramel, dark chocolate and liquorice with notes of smoke and cognac.
Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate, oak and honey with notes of cognac and hops.
Roasted finish, Vaiz (4460) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - SEP 26, 2010
Tap at 2nd BBF @ De Molen. The cognac takes off the sharp edges of the normal stormaktsporter but it still retains most of the amazing flavor. Slightly harsh still but extremely full bodied and loads of flavors. Amazing brew. Lucky us to have had half a keg at the afterparty.
