At ave. Pub pour is a really dark amber brown with light sticky kahki head. Smells like tootsie rolls. Taste like chocolate raisons ash coffee.

On tap at Avenue pub. Pours a dark brown almost black with a small beige head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Thin mouthfeel with a roasted malt and alcohol burn. A good Porter from Narke.

([email protected], rated 2011-11-16) Almost black, small beige head. Very strong roasted coffee in the aroma, with a touch of dark chocolate. Strangely bland flavor with lots of roast, some ashy burnedness, but most of all chocolatey coffee. Medium body, quite thin palate, almost flat CO2. Ok, but too coffeeish and thin porter.

Bottle shared at Haggerty’s Fantasy Tasting. 2010 vintage. Pours dark brown with a monster head that spilled out of the bottle. Intense coffee aromas and flavor. Bitter and roasty dry finish.

mile (4032) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2011
Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Very dark brown - almost black, average and dense foamy and mostly diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty - light oat and sweetish aroma, lots of coffee, roasted malt, light chocolate. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, coffee and roasted malt, light hoppyness and chocolate. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, ashy burnt - roasted malt, lots of coffee and some hoppy bitterness. Weird combination of coffee and ashy burnt/roasted malt - anyway, too much coffee for me.

mjs (7582) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2011
(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20111113) The beer poured black. Its head was light brown and dense. Aroma had coffee, roasted malts and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied and dryish with medium carbonation. Flavours were coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, hops, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had coffee, roastedness and bitterness. Very good coffee porter. Extra point for palate because the flavours were spread on my tongue in a very pleasant way.

tiong (7513) - Espoo, FINLAND - NOV 12, 2011
Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki

Pours pitch black with a small foamy head. Roasty aroma has notes of chocolate, ash and coffee. Taste is very roasty with heavy coffee and espresso notes, and hints of chocolate, licorice and ash. Dry and bitter finish with hints of chocolate. Nice, well balanced and roasty coffee porter.
