This is an amazing beer. It poured black with a thin white head. Aroma had a lot of coffee and bourbon, with some intense vanilla character. Flavor carried chocolate vanilla and charred caramel and wood notes.
Notes: This was on tap at the Borefts beer festival held at De Molen in Bodegraven, NL in 2010, so these notes are 7 years old! It was barrel aged in Wild Turkey Bourbon barrels, and was likely a one-off variation, especially considering that they have retired it. No one added this variation to RB and I don’t have enough info to create a new beer for it, so this seems like the best place to put my notes...shame to waste them. Kvalitet. bottle shared by a friend. finally. 2008 batch bottle. 25cl. poured a murky black colour with a tanned head on top. i have to be honest. it is def. past it’s prime now, oxidation has started, and it’s showing notes of some kiind of old wet dusty cellar aroma, behind that there are notes of roasted malts, salty liqorice, vineous notes, chocolate, charred ash, bitter roast, still some small coffee note in the taste aswel.. very thrilled that i finally tried ths one! to bad it took me so long to try it. can’t imagine how good this was back in the day Experiment_Ale (1098) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 18, 2016
2007 Draft at Akkurat’s 20th anniversary party. Ordered over the shoulder of the founders/owners, who told me this is his favorite stout the brewery has ever made, which is saying a lot obviously. This is the best non-barrel aged imperial stout I have ever had. So complex and delicious. Beautiful smooth roasted malt, chocolate desert w/o the sugar. Fantastic.

2007 on draft. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, light smoke, butterscotch, caramel, licorice. Taste heavily roasted, semi-sweet, raisins, figs, coffee, slightly vinous with slight cardboard oxidation. Quite thick and surprisingly good mouthfeel. Without the hype I would just classify this is a solid imperial stout, maybe it’s way past its time. Bobhund (133) - - DEC 28, 2015
Köpt på Akkurat, Stockholm. Lagrad sedan 2007. Mycket fin med stor smak av bl.a. Kaffe och kavring. Mycket intressant!

Tap at Akkurat’s 20th Anniversary. Pitch black with tan head. Huge aroma and taste of chocolate, vanilla and roasted malt. Very well rounded, no oxidation at all. Just pure love in a glass. bursprak (3238) - Aarhus, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2015
18 cl bottle at Dangerous Bottleshares WHLZBRZ edition, ’07 edition. Pitch black flat pour. Earthy, chocolate, lightly oxidized, honey, vanilla, light tar and some savoury notes. Held up good!
