Can at World of Beer in Land O Lakes. Pours a clear, golden yellow color with a billowing head at first that is short lived. Good bands of lacing along the glass. Aroma has malty corn notes and not much else. The flavor is fairly sweet and fruity at first. Some bitterness in the finish but not as much as I expected. Not bad, but not great either.

Poured into a lager glass, the appearance was a murky copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that held for a little bit and fell off at a good pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had some light lemon rind bitterness playing with a little bit of hop spice and then delicate biscuit/bready malt base playing tightly to signature a fine blend all around. The flavor guided all of the previously mentioned aromatics together finely tuning the sweet to the spicy fairly nice. Aftertaste was moderately towards the biscuits and lemon. Finish was semi-smooth with a little bit of spice. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good as projected. Overall, I didn’t mind this for me, but I did seem to think there was a bit more lemon than expected for the style.

Cloudy yellow with a white head. The aroma is somewhat corny with a bit of grassy and lemons in there. Aroma is swillish but not full on. The flavor is not bad. A bit sweet with some grassy and lemon flavor going on. Nothing really off in this. Overall I’d take this all day in the summer. Decent effort.

The pour of this beer is special: thick, light orange swirls of activity slowly build a remarkably dense and high head of luscious beer foam. Before one even takes the first whiff, you know this is a high quality beer. The foam lasts....it stays around a while. Taste is full and thoroughly lager-like. Malt and subtle tea notes are present in the finish. Finish is slightly sweet, but not like a Munich beer. It is a touch more dry than that. Very clean and refreshing, yet flavorful. The main flaw of this beer is not anything with its execution, as it is a surprisingly fine beer; the main issue is that this isn’t really a pilsner, Bohemian or otherwise. This reminds me of a perfectly executed pre-prohibition lager recipe, or maybe a dortmunder. This beer is a great value, too, at $9 for a six of pounders. I will keep a six of this in my house at all times, at least in the warmer months. Great stuff.

Clear golden body with a fluffy, white head. Aromas of grains, corn. Straight forward with notes of corn and sweet lager yeast. Light bodied with a tangy finish. Decent.

New Beer Distributors, NYC can ($2ish): Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is light fruitiness, one hops, and mostly malt. Taste is not really either a czech or a german pils. It kind of falls outside. Definitely a step above pale lager. Not bad though. Nothing off in this.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2015 16 oz can, thanks Drake! Rhode Island tick. Aroma is dough, cooked vegetables, orange candy circus peanuts. Pours nearly clear golden with a nice fluffy white head with great retention; leaves groovy patterns of lace. Taste is sweet and malty with faint grassy hop character and bitterness in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body. Too sweet and malty for me.

16 oz pounder can. Mostly clear gold in color with some lasting head in a lager glass. Aroma is straw, cereal grain and mild herbal hops.

Body is lighter yet correct for the style. Flavor shows the Pilsner malt, light herbal hops without much bitterness. Very fast fading bitterness after the sip. Grainy aftertaste. All in all, pretty much what it should be.

Drake (13742) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 12, 2015
16 ounce can from Greenlife Grocery, Asheville. Pours golden with fine floating particles. Large frothy white head, good head retention and lacing. Aroma of doughy malt, grassy hops and a bit of apple. The taste is bready malt, apple, snappy grassy hops, mild notes of apple and caramel. Medium bodied, good balance, moderate lingering bitterness, crisp.

16 ounce can thanks to Drake. Grassy and straw with a mild aroma. Hallertau hops on tongue. Ok.
