Can. And, in fact, drinking from the can, I couldn’tvreally tell what color it was. Dark, probably. It also had an aroma, I’m sure. Taste was kind of a dull chocolate milk and coffee. skullface1818 (2) - - JAN 2, 2013 does not count
A: the darker side of dark brown, with only the bottom of the glass showing a dark amber colors. On top of this inviting clear dark brown color, is a thick quick appearing head.
I love the way this brew looks
S: IT smells of light chocolate, medium caramel, and light fruity esters (a bit of green apple and pear). no real hop aroma, which is quite odd really.
It is a nice smell, but it does get a bit abrasive on the nose after some time
Taste: this one is conflicting, because this is something I shouldn’t like very much, but do. This is actually a rather bitter porter, and I’ve had bitter porters like this one and haven’t liked them before,
however this one works rather well
Maybe its because it starts off with a sweet, lighter chocolate and roaster flavor, and finished off with harsher bittering flavors, with a bit of dark chocolate on the distant part of the after taste.
It is surprisingly drinkable porter for its bitterness
It also covers up its alcohol very well.
mouthfeel: wattery and astringent on the tongue, with a powdery feeling on the after taste (like freshly grinded coffee)
overall: not a bad porter, tho youvcan defiently do better than it. but that’s not the point
for the price, booz, quality, and size of this can, it is really a good deal, and a excellent thing to go for if your looking for something different. you could get through a whole party on just two-3 of these
A defient 4/5 from me. I might have this again, might not.
depends on the cash. but defiently worth a first try. It wont dissipoint you, not for its price that’s for sure
and if all else fails it will get you drunk, and beats a can of 4 loco or a bud light.

Pours a deep umber color with a finger of sudsy foam...on the nose its roasted chocolate and a little dose tobacco. The palate is rich and bubbly with a nice balance of roasted notes and chocolate. Nothing too exciting but a reasonable can of beer. crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Thin, water, metallic, an extremely poor porter. The original must have blown if they are saying this is better. magsinva (1322) - Virginia, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Can from Sam’s quik stop - aroma is the best thing about this beer, with notes of coffee, malt, and alcohol. Taste is sweetish with a dry chalky thing happening in the mid palate, which I’m not enjoying. Overall, meh.

Can from Sam’s Quik Stop. Pours dark brown with a half inch of khaki foam. Slight roasted notes on the nose. A bit chalky on the tongue with hints of malt. Clean finish. Solid but not exciting. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Can. Pours a very dark brown color with a light tan head. Nose has a slight coffee note to it, and the taste has some nice smooth roasting notes. It’s a great brew... jeremytoni (3079) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2012
From a can poured a brown color with a good amount of head. Toasted malty flavor with a quick finish. reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2012
Pours black with a thick mocha head...light ruby hues...nice retention and lacing. Aroma has light smoke, burnt molasses, and tobacco. Flavor is very smoky with burnt notes, molasses, and just a hint of bold coffee. Mouthfeel is medium/full with a roasty molasses/tobacco finish. smith4498 (3649) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 18, 2012
16 kz can. Pours clear dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of toasted malts and chocolate. Chocolaty and roasty flavors. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Decent for the price.
