4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
It pours an amber color with a one inch foamy white head, it quickly dies to a small head. Minimal lacing is left in my nonic. The smell is initially hoppy but as it warms up the malts combine a lot nicer to the hops and show a really nice blend of sweet to bitter, resiny, piney and citrusy. The taste is initially bitter, but tones down to a great complex combination between sweet and bitter between the hops and malts, nothing showing exact certain flavors, but a great combination. The palate is about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. The warmer this beer gets, the smoother it feels on the tongue. Its not as drinkable, but hey, its the style, so don’t knock it that its not that drinkable. It leaves a dry and bitter aftertaste and finish. Overall, not bad, not superb, but hey I’d come back to this depending upon what else was at that location when I need a beer.
Pours a dark amber, almost with an orangish tint, with a healthy cream head. Aroma of hops that come across bitter in the taste.
Full disclosure - this bottle's been sitting in my refrigerator for many months, so any idea of freshness can thrown out the window for no fault of the beer's.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy deep copper with a large, creamy and frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is fragrant and strong floral, herbal, spicy, and minty hops with supporting dry grainy and biscuity malt, light peppery alcohol, peach and pear fruity esters. Flavor is moderate-high hops, heavy and prickly bitterness, supporting lightly sweet malt, light fruity esters, and a dry, lingering bitter finish. Medium-full body and medium carbonation with some light hop astringency. HoppityHop (206) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 2, 2014
This has everything going for it, except taste. Nice hoppy aroma, check. Nice orange coloring, check. Big off-white head and lacing, check. Solid mouthfeel, check. Unfortunately, the bittering hops ruin this otherwise decent beer. Very catty with no citrus or earthy notes, just harshness. doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - JUL 20, 2013
A rather nice tip of the hat to it’s founders! Nice hoppy aroma that was also somewhat sweet. Poured a nice copper color with a head that was very nice. Taste was hoppy, with a nice thick mouth feel. Nice bittering on the back side. Wish I had bought 2 bottles! puboflyons (3467) - Allenstown, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 30, 2013
From the 650 ml. bottle. The pour is slightly hazy by medium amber-copper in color. It comes with a big beige head that sticks around. Lots of aroma of floral and earthy hops, caramel malts, and biscuit. The body is medium for the most part. The taste has a punchy bitterness at the finish after beginning a bit sweet. Decently done.

Bomber from Common Market, Charlotte. Pours a clear bronze color with a large tan frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of resin hops with toasted grain. The taste is herbal, resin hops, nutty notes, caramel malts. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Simple but well balanced and nicely made. Nice beer. kassner (1686) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 12, 2013
Bottle, with nice head over slightly cloudy golden color. fragrance and plenty of hops with really big IBU’s. Not as sweet or aromatic so quite drinkable. TheGent (656) - , Massachusetts, USA - APR 20, 2013
really this is just blowing me out of the water. Deep golden color with medium head. Smells of just a rich sweet barley with a slight hay hopiness. Taste is so well balanced bitter and sweet. A simple style done just so perfectly right. Understated perfection. rondphoto (4489) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 11, 2013
Clear dark orange amber with a big frothy off-white head, and heavy streaks of lace. This brew earns its accolades - taste is clean caramel malt that is quickly joined by strong bittering, with both sides rolling straight through the finish. A big mouthful of taste, with a good balance between the sweet and bitter, while maintaining a light effect. Highly recommended. beerme31 (692) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - MAR 21, 2013
Pours a dark golden color thin tan head. Aroma of pine/spruce, floral, citrus. Mild malt sweetness. Medium body, strong bitter finish, dry hopping evident. The alcohol is not masked as much as I expected. Not bad overall.
