2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz bottle purchased from Julio’s in Westboro, Mass. Lots of yeast in the aroma. I get bananas and a weird citric acidity in the nose of this. No hops detected and I’m really not convinced this is an APA. Pours a mildly hazy golden-copper color with a huge, frothy light light yellowish head. Eh, I hope this isn’t infected...Sour, acidic, overly carbonated start with mild graininess in the middle. Has some toasted malts. I don’t detect any hops. Ridiculous amount of carbonation and the sourness shows that there are some nasties that got into this beer. This is almost a drainpour....now that I drink a little more of this, the carbonation dies down along with the acidity. I don’t think it is infected after all. The flavors are still overly toasted without much in the way of hops.
Tasted at the brewery/winery in Bolton. Light grainy yellow, full creamy white head. Creamy body, grainy. Soapy, sweet grain. Meh. mcox90 (2107) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 31, 2011
12 oz bottled purchased at the brewery/winery. Pours a hazy amber orange with a small, short lived white head. Aroma is a mix of malt and floral hops with the malt being the stronger of the two. Slightly funky yeasty flavor with malts overpowering hops. Full palate with bitter, dry finish. Ok brew. Aurelius (5428) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 18, 2011
Sour, unripe fruit, stinky aroma. Mostly clear darkish amber. Sweetish, tangy, golden ale flavor. Not very hoppy at all. Medium-light body. Everyone in the session pretty much agreed that this was a dud. Thanks - sort of - to LuckyDog. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - NOV 15, 2010
A copper body with a thin white head. Hops and caramel malts on the nose. Flavor was initially sweet but gave away to a decent hop bite, kind of two-dimensional. Body was rather light. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 9, 2010
Bottled. Poured hazy amber with a short cap of off-white head.. some fine lacing followed it down. The aroma picked up candy-like sweetness with honey and caramel leading.. fresh floral and fruity hops around.. not bad, but too sweet. The flavor was sweet as well, with honey and redder fruits at the core.. earth and floral bitterness surrounded.. finished rather sharp and bitter (but still with lots of residual sugars). Medium-bodied and sweet as mentioned on the palate.. the transition to the bitter edges was not that good.. aiight brew.

Sampled at the Nashoba winery- Light copper pour with good foam head and lacing. Light hop roast with a slight banana flavor. RCL (2030) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Lightly fruity aroma. Flavor is all band aids and bitter hops in the finish. Not good. beastiefan2k (4033) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - MAY 28, 2007
So I have to think that a brewer like this thinks they can sell product based on labels, like wine does. Well they better get their shit together cause this stuff is really crappy. It tastes like stale, old, bad pale lager. But I will admit the labels are nice and thay name sold me despite my knowledge of the low ratings. Why am I a walking contradiction. mbrandon2w (109) - Worcester, Massachusetts, USA - APR 24, 2007
Nice pale ale, but could use a big more aroma and body. It’s a bit thin in both areas. I tasted it out of the bottle, but I’ve had it on tap several times and it doesn’t seem to have that problem there. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - FEB 26, 2007
sampled on tap at the brewery. clear golden in color. Pretty big off white head. Aroma is light citrus/floral hops and not much else. Taste is light notes of citrus with some light notes of malt. pretty thin bodied and not very exciting, although clean tasting.
