On draught at Buckman-Kerns Brewfest at EastBurn. Deep black color. Aroma is dark roasted malts, almost too roasted. A lot of toasty, roasty malt notes in the flavor with a smidgen of hop. Almost tastes like a smoked beer.
roast malt, sour grain, and dark chocolate I smell. The flavor is more toward dark roast coffee, with brown sugar and orunes. dark khaki head fading quiclky, on tap at hawthorne hop house (really enjoyed the poutine). a little thin in the mouth leahkate (1) - USA - NOV 11, 2010 does not count
A nice smooth stout, gorgeous brunette color, mild, not too heavy. Good choice in winter when you need a break from all the seasonals and Imperials. Compared to most of the other stouts out there, this is an excellent beer. troopie (2341) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - APR 18, 2010
Draught. Poured black with medium tan head, moderate lacing. Aroma is light, chocolate, roast and coffee. Roasty flavour with espresso notes. Sweet finish. Didn’t taste as strong as it was. stchloe (1067) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 6, 2010
A great stout. Nice color that is a dark dark copper and a nice sweet stout.

Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Not a bad offering from this up and coming brewery. Poured black with a thick, light brown head. Lots of roast, a slightly off, strong booziness that needed just a little more balance. Big malt finish with an added vanilla sweetness.
