On draft ay Carolina Ale House. Roasty caramel aroma. Deep copper color. Large off white head. Well balanced beer. Not overly malt and only slightly Roasty taste. One of my favorite amber ales. jsmerig (1583) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2011
Aroma of roasted maple. Taste is smoked and toasted dark malt with a touch of raspberry. The malt sweetness is quickly offset by peppery hops, resulting in a clean crisp finish. bth122 (1554) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 1, 2011
Poured a copper color, smaller head. Aroma of caramel malts and toffee. Med/lite sweetness, slight bitter. Good balance. Smooth.

Toasted malt flavor with nut and toffee notes. Crisp dry hop flavors as well. Creamy feel. Not bad.

Pours a clean copper amber with one finger of sticky off white head. Nose is grainy with some sweetness and herbal hop character. Lots of off flavors, grassy with some diacetyl. Grainy, with some bitterness. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAR 7, 2011
Pours a mostly translucent amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee and hint of spicy hops. Flavor of toffee, nuts and caramel. Hints of some spicy hop notes. But mostly a toffee malty beer. nickd717 (4679) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 27, 2011
On tap at He’s Not Here in Chapel Hill. Clear amber in color with a small but lasting white head. The aroma is caramel malts, toffee, and biscuit, rather bready with only mild hop presence. Caramel malts on the flavor with biscuit and toffee and maybe some mild citrusy hops, although they are faint. Medium body with average carbonation. This beer fits the definition of "average" - nothing exciting about it but nothing offensive.
