Pours amber orange-red and mostly clear with an off-white head that fades to a rim. No lacing. Aroma is bread, malt, caramel. Taste is semi-sweet with more bread, malt and caramel. Maybe some toffee and butterscotch. Moderate carbonation and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Straightforward but very drinkable. I like this a lot as a session beer.

Poured a beautiful reddish brown with a light had that disappeared quickly. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Taste has some of that same sweetness up front, nice and smooth. Pretty good. penguinfinity (107) - North Carolina, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Bottle. Smells good but mild. Hard to place the scent. Pours dark amber with a light head that lingers around the edges. Taste is also hard to place. A little bitter and almost no aftertaste. Mild carbonation. It’s okay. Westchesterco (2043) - mclean, Virginia, USA - SEP 1, 2013

Clear warm medium amber with a persistent ivory head and swirls of lace. Taste is caramel malt with a butter rum overtone. The taste moves smoothly through the palate until it is lightly countered by hops and carbonation. A nice unpretentious ale, easy drinking, good session choice. Recommended. shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle. Light toffee malt aroma. Clear amber with moderate head. Lightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter herbal/grass flavor. Decent amber ale. BrettTaylor (776) - Radford, Virginia, USA - AUG 16, 2013
Poured as a 4 oz taster in Greensboro pub. Surprising dark coffee notes, malt, beautiful color, sweetness counters the coffee enough that the wife, who doesn’t like coffee, likes. Went very well with the burger for lunch. NeoHippie2 (1074) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUL 26, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2013 Pours a light amber with a small white head. Aromas of malt and some grassy hop notes. Light biscuit flavors coming through but really not a lot going on here. Crisp light finish. It isn’t foul but it’s a bit bland. foyle (422) - Wyoming, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Appearance: Amber to light brown and mostly clear. Pours a ½” inch head that fades quickly. Decent amount of lacing and moderately carbonated.
Aroma: toasted bread, caramel malts, earthy hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel and a fairly dry finish.
Flavor: Flavors the aroma – a significant malt presence dominates this brew. Nice mix of toffee, whole wheat bread, and earthy hop spice.
Overall: A very good session beer.
