UPDATED: AUG 18, 2013 Pours a light amber with a small white head. Aromas of malt and some grassy hop notes. Light biscuit flavors coming through but really not a lot going on here. Crisp light finish. It isn’t foul but it’s a bit bland. foyle (435) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Appearance: Amber to light brown and mostly clear. Pours a ½” inch head that fades quickly. Decent amount of lacing and moderately carbonated.
Aroma: toasted bread, caramel malts, earthy hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a slightly sticky mouthfeel and a fairly dry finish.
Flavor: Flavors the aroma – a significant malt presence dominates this brew. Nice mix of toffee, whole wheat bread, and earthy hop spice.
Overall: A very good session beer. icehawk (876) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - JUN 24, 2013

Pours amber with thin head. The aroma has some malt and caramel and an odd bit of booze. The flavor has a bit of caramel and malt with nice bitter balance.

12 oz bottle. light caramel, little hops. decent beer if ordinary, a little thin tasting ThisWangsChung (836) - Leonardtown, Maryland, USA - APR 7, 2013
Rated 3/24/13. Portion of a 12 oz bottle poured into a Hunahpu’s snifter. From notes.
A: Pours a clear amber/copper color, with a rather dinky-looking white head. Looks pretty good regardless.
S: All I pick up here is some unsweetened caramel.
T: The faintest twang of fruity esters builds to a caramel-y finish. Extremely unassuming.
M: Crisp, dry, and light. If you’re going to showcase little in the way of flavor on the palate, this is how you do it.
O: Nothing wrong with this per se...it’s just so bland, though. Really just one step up from BMC in my opinion. prawlie (1702) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2013
On tap at Natty Greenes’ in Greensboro. Red-orange, clear. Dry, lightly bitter. A little metallic, a bit rough. durhambeer (2585) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Draft at a Carolina Hurricanes game. Average amber pour. Nose is sweet bread, toffee, and light caramel. Some very mild hops. The kind of beer that feels like the style is just "beer." Nondescript but not horrible.
