Pours amber with thin head. The aroma has some malt and caramel and an odd bit of booze. The flavor has a bit of caramel and malt with nice bitter balance.

Ar: Somewhat subdued aroma of dark toffee, malt aroma up front.
Ap: Pours a clear light copper body with a 1" frothy white head. Decent retention.
T: Moderate caramel sweetness up front. Finish has moderate bitterness, a touch of resin.
P: Medium body with moderate carbonation.
O: Nice, straight forward amber. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - APR 18, 2013

12 oz bottle. light caramel, little hops. decent beer if ordinary, a little thin tasting ThisWangsChung (836) - Leonardtown, Maryland, USA - APR 7, 2013
Rated 3/24/13. Portion of a 12 oz bottle poured into a Hunahpu’s snifter. From notes.
A: Pours a clear amber/copper color, with a rather dinky-looking white head. Looks pretty good regardless.
S: All I pick up here is some unsweetened caramel.
T: The faintest twang of fruity esters builds to a caramel-y finish. Extremely unassuming.
M: Crisp, dry, and light. If you’re going to showcase little in the way of flavor on the palate, this is how you do it.
O: Nothing wrong with this per se...it’s just so bland, though. Really just one step up from BMC in my opinion. prawlie (1592) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2013
On tap at Natty Greenes’ in Greensboro. Red-orange, clear. Dry, lightly bitter. A little metallic, a bit rough. durhambeer (2500) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Draft at a Carolina Hurricanes game. Average amber pour. Nose is sweet bread, toffee, and light caramel. Some very mild hops. The kind of beer that feels like the style is just "beer." Nondescript but not horrible. AndyW68 (1542) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Not offensive. Not impressive. Orange gold and limited white head. Aroma is a little musty/malty. Tastes like a decent amber that has gone flat or been watered down.
