Bottle--pours a shinny copper color with no head and no carbonation. Aroma is malt. Taste is sweet caramel and bread. A bit watery on the finish. Mixed pack from Ingles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A decent looking but undistinctive amber ale. There is plenty of medium malt, with toasted grain and caramel characteristics, n the nose. The aroma is basically duplicated by the flavor. Nothing fancy here, just a straightforward amber with plenty of caramel malt flavor.

Draft. Pint glass showcased is rich amber color with modest white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt and biscuit. Taste was malty with some nuttiness. Medium body and balanced. Pretty good.

12oz bottle, thanks to Jay. ABV labeled as 4.8%. Nice toasty malt flavor, some hazelnut. Caramel malts. Some earthy hops. Maybe a hint of smoke. Soft, moderate carbonation. Clean finish. Clear amber color, thin off-white head, leaves decent lace. Sweeter taste, some mild bitter. This is a well-done amber ale.

Bottle from sampler pack. Overall a good amber with a balanced taste, medium body and no major problems. Would have again.

My friends Tom and Jen brought this one up from North Carolina. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy caramel, nut and was very malty. The flavor was toasted caramel, malt, faint dark fruits and toffee. The finish was medium length toffee and caramel. Medium body and smooth. Very good for style.

12 oz. Bottle. Nothing exciting, but not bad. Sweet and sour scent, which I found odd - reminded me of sour patch kids. Medium brown pour with white foamy head, excellent appearance. Medium bodied, crisp texture. Brown toffee flavor with a touch of molasses and a slightly caramel finish.

Meh. It’s fine, but there’s just not much to it to rate. I literally have nothing good or bad to say. It tastes like beer, but there’s not a lot of flavor or smell to it.
