Good beer. Quite a bit of malt sweetness but balance with a lot of bitterness not much caramel which works. anders37 (26657) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 10, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity hoppy grapefruitaroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hopy bitter grapefruit finish. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Bottle. Deep orange with spotty white suds. Floral, tropical fruit nose with big malty caramel backbone. Flavor is sharply bitter and leaves the mouth very dry. A little too heavy, messy and boozy for me. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2011
Nice and spritzy. Pine and caramel, smooth drinking. Sticky mouthfeel, grainy, malty, a little grassy, not too bitter. Thanks to LuckyDog for bringing this back from the brewpub. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 21, 2011
On tap at Natty Greenes, Greensboro NC on 13 July 2006. Hazy ginger colour. Lots of grapefruity hops. Clean, sharp mouthfeel with plenty of bitterness. Some sweetness but not too sticky and the alcohol is not too hot. A pretty decent DIPA.

12 oz. bottle from emacgee- thanks again, Ethan! Pours a clear amber color with a three finger-thick, frothy off-white head that leaves a lot of heavy, sticky lacing. Aroma of sweet and bready malts, cereal grains, caramel, and earthy hops. Flavor has a ton of caramel malts, cereal grains, grassy hops, sweet resin, and some herbs and spices. Medium-bodied, with a malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Just a little bitterness. The hops are certainly there, but the malts really make this a cool beer. wavers1 (916) - Notown, California, USA - FEB 2, 2011
bottle courtesy of emacgee, thank you. pours a deep but crisp amber with a dense and creamy off white head that leaves some lacing and spotting. the aroma and taste have a ton of sweet biscuity crystaly malts, very malty iipa, but i really like it since its a great malt profile. its still highly hopped, and the hop profile is equally as balanced. overall a nice brew, very drinkable, though more like an asa to me. brewski519 (644) - Morrisville, North Carolina, USA - JAN 4, 2011
12 oz bottle purchased at City Beverage in Winston-Salem. Pours a dark golden color with some reddish tinge and an off white head on it. Aroma on this one is full of hops, grass, and pine. Taste is piney, citrusy and quite hoppy but pretty smooth - easy drinking. emacgee (4677) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - NOV 11, 2010
Pours a peachy copper amber with a 1 1/2 finger creamy eggshell white head. Nose is weird, smells like rubber and mango, sharp and a bit phenolic. Flavor is sharp as well, fusel alcohol and spicy hops. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2010
A golden amber IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a doughy malt with loads of citrussy hops, oily and pinhey. In mouth, a rather chalkey mouth with sustained British hops, not as intense as expected, but good. On tap at Great North Carolina Brewers Fest., August 28 2010.
