Sample from a can at the "Beer Tasting on the Front Porch". The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops and caramel. Medium body with a piney hop character with notes of fruit and caramel malt in the background. The finish is moderately hoppy with a short bitter aftertaste. Decent overall. Lubiere (14240) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2010
A golden amber IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a doughy malt with loads of citrussy hops, oily and pinhey. In mouth, a rather chalkey mouth with sustained British hops, not as intense as expected, but good. On tap at Great North Carolina Brewers Fest., August 28 2010. hopdog (13191) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2009

on tap @HopfestNC-pours a white head and slightly hazy yellow/gold color. Aroma is citrus hops-sweet. Taste is bitter-citrus hops, secondary/faint sweet medium malt, some alcohol. OK carbonation. phaleslu (10889) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 20, 2011
12 oz. bottle from emacgee- thanks again, Ethan! Pours a clear amber color with a three finger-thick, frothy off-white head that leaves a lot of heavy, sticky lacing. Aroma of sweet and bready malts, cereal grains, caramel, and earthy hops. Flavor has a ton of caramel malts, cereal grains, grassy hops, sweet resin, and some herbs and spices. Medium-bodied, with a malty mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Just a little bitterness. The hops are certainly there, but the malts really make this a cool beer. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

hazy orange, scant head, specks of lace,
sweet citrus aroma with a hint of pine,
nice sweet sticky pine flavor, light bitter finish,
Name: Cannonball Imperial IPA
lots more pine in the aroma,
rich dark caramel malt flavor with lots of citrus and pine, sweetness well balanced with a low bitterness that builds towards the finish,
not as sticky sweet as before allowing the malt more room to assert itself
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 15/20

pours orange, hazy.
aroma and taste, hoppy, caramel malts present with a light mix of citrus/pine hops.
Not overly boozy, but a nice warming abv sneaks up with the malts and cover the palate. douglas88 (9789) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 18, 2009
12 ounce bottle thanks to brentk56. Pours a cloudy orange color with one hell of a thick white foamy head- be careful! The aroma is orange rind, caramel and lemons. The flavor is very nice; probably the most citrus I’ve ever tasted in a hop driven beer, lemons and orange, light malts. Wet. A nice mouthfeel. Enjoyable, a light bitter grapefruit finish.
