Strong-style India Pale Ale, deep copper in color witha a big, malty, hoppy palate and dry hopped with Centennial & Antanum for a spicy, citrus aroma. What better name for a big, strong beer than one of the biggest, strongest weapons of the Revolutionary War - the cannonball.

Tasting at Immy’s. From Growler. Yellow orange pour with white head. Candied grapefruit nose. Flavor is a lighter version of the nose along with some herbal notes. Well done.

Cloudy golden pour. Hoppy beer with bitter finish, full bodied. What a hop beer should be.

From bomber. Pours amber with a touch of white head. Mild aroma featuring hops with malt. Tastes the same. Almost seems like a Dirt Wolf wannabe ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good beer. Quite a bit of malt sweetness but balance with a lot of bitterness not much caramel which works.

22oz bottle from The Beer Store Wilson. Dark orange almost amber hue with 2 finger thick mostly lasting fizzy white head good lacing. Light fruit, floral, grass, lemon. Floral taste up front with a dry boring bitter citrus finish. It gets much better once it breaths for a bit. I am disappointed that I rated this for my 100th beer.

12oz bottle from a BIF. Pours a standard DIPA cloudy golden with a light white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit with some pine resin. Flavor is good, this isn’t top tier good, but I think it’s in the next level down (hard to beat fresh dreadnaught, pliny or hopslam). Medium to full body with a subdued carbonation. FIavor is good, with some pine, citrus and an underlying bitterness. I just think it doesn’t finish as clean as the top tier DIPAs also the flavor isn’t as addictive. Still a very enjoyable brew.

Very slightly hazy copper pour topped with an ivory quickly fading head. Nice hop aroma of pine and citrus with a hint of licorice and alcohol. Strong raisin flavor from the malt (common but I don’t care for raisin flavors very much ... especially in an IPA/2xIPA). Citrus flavor underneath. Not as much bitterness as I expected (a bit more would be better in my opinion). Medium-full bodied with medium carbonation. Not bad but a bit too much raisin for my taste that likely biased my review.

Great beer. Extreme at both ends of malt and hops, but balanced beautifully.

I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Tremendous floral floral, piney aroma as soon as I popped the cap. When poured, light hazy, bronze color was also inviting, as was the solid fluffy head. A subtle palate hid the stiff resin-like, DIPA bitterness hopheads so crave. A solid DIPA that I would recommend and buy again.

12 oz bottle: Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma of strong citrus notes and just the right amount of hops. Goes down very smoothly with almost no hoppy bite. A little thin for my taste. Very nice lacing though. The "Double IPA" tag is a little misleading, but an okay drink from Nattys.
