GABF 2006: Hazy amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was hop foward with citrus and grass notes. Good malt standing right behind it. The flavor was mostly sweet malt with light hop flavor running in the background. Kind of mild on the bitterness in the finish. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - JUL 24, 2007
Draught at the brewpub. Pours cloudy copper orange with ivory head. The aroma is full of fruity hops- candied pineapple, grapefruit, apricot- and also some very sweet malty notes. The flavor is sweet brown sugar and very light toast, with some fruity and floral hops. The finish is only slightly dry, but very floral and herbal. Lots of hop flavor without being all that bitter. A bit of alcohol comes out as it warms. Dense mouthfeel. Pretty good. LawBadger (24) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 6, 2009
12 oz bottle: Pours a amber color with a nice head. Aroma of strong citrus notes and just the right amount of hops. Goes down very smoothly with almost no hoppy bite. A little thin for my taste. Very nice lacing though. The "Double IPA" tag is a little misleading, but an okay drink from Nattys. Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - FEB 7, 2009
Bottle at decaturstevo’s Februmergency Tasting for those of us that missed out on Sexual Chocolate ’09 thanks to decaturstevo. Hazy orange pour with wispy off-white head. Lovely soft floral pine hop aroma with some vanilla. Very pleasant floral hop flavor with some small amount of bitterness. Very good actually. SpringsLicker (3637) - Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2009
Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one at his Februmergency Tasting.
Slightly hazy gold body with a minimal off-white head.
Floral hop aroma with a good underlying malt base.
Well balanced with a nice bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2009 Bottle from the BA Tasting (And yes 00cobra, I drank a full 12 ounce bottle. Notice that I am also posting a full review. Read and learn j.f.) Pours a hazy orange with an off white/pale yellow head. Floral hop aroma. Medium bodied with a nice earthy texure. Firm pale malt base stands behind a grapefruity hop bite. Finishes semi dry, but with soapiness and a puckering rind bitterness. Bitterness sticks to the palate. Not bad, but seems like this one needs to be fresh on tap. Cloudy golden pour. Hoppy beer with bitter finish, full bodied. What a hop beer should be. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - JUN 16, 2009
Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is sweet citrus. Tastes more bitter but has a decent sweetness to balance it out. Very much a hop bomb. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 28, 2009
Courtesy of dkachur. Pours hazy deep gold with copper core and thin tan head. The aroma is mild musty sticky malts, pine hop bitterness and not much else. The taste is pine and floral hop flavors mixing with a nice malty sweetness before moving toward increasing hop bitterness and a touch of grain. Nice stuff. Bottle from the brewpub. Pours a dark copper with no real head. The aroma is grassy with lots of pine cones and melon with adequate sweetness for balance. This is full bodied and flavorful without being extreme. My palate detects clean pine bite, melon sweetness, caramel, and a dry grapefruit zing. This is very, very nice. Just needs more hops.
