750 ml bottle from JCB- thanks again, J! Bottle 2/230. Bottled 12/2010, released 3/15/11. Pours a hazy brownish amber with a small beige head. Aroma of tart cherries, balsamic vinegar, oaky funk, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, and plum. Flavor is more sour and not as sweet, though the caramel and vanilla and brown sugar are there. Tart fruits, oak, yogurt, vinegar. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation, and a tart, funky mouthfeel. Really good sour.

My Bottom Line:
Sour cherries, barnyard and red vinegar coincide in this dry and tart creation.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy red.
-Carbonation feels natural, which helps the flavor profile greatly.
-The acetic finish may be a tad too much for some, but I like it.
-The mouthfeel is soft, which helps drinkability greatly.

750ml bottle. Pours a deep red/brown color with a medium tan head. The nose is rich sour wood and cherries. The flavor is rich and robust but drinkable; sweet vanilla and wood, some intense sourness, raw like a unblended lambic, some fruit especially sour cherries. Very nice. Akin to a old bruin and very drinkable.

2014 version, so, aged 1.5-2 years. Clear deep Amber with a very thin off white cap. Big red sour aroma with some red wine and red fruits, with a stern earthy sour funk, and some sort of chestnut-barrel tone. Big bold flavor that’s just slightly tart on the finish, then there’s this wild red fruit and Amber malts, some Belgian Amber nuances, and gently dusty and tart. Very complex and layered, smooth, gently acidic, fruity, and delightful.

750 ml bottle to snifter (thanks jmborggren). Looks good; a semi-transparent copper with off-white lacing. Smells solid; Flanders and funk. Tastes like it smells, only better, with a good mouthfeel. I dig this beer.

During RBWG 2013. Bottle via b3shine, I believe. Thanks, Breau! Amber pour with a nice khaki head. Tart, funky aroma with berries, sour lemon juice, and bits of wood. Sour flavor, lemons and berries, with some funk and wood. Not bad!

Bottle no. 7 of 230 bottles. Pours bit hazy deep amber with a small off white head. The aroma is balsamicco, ripe fruit, light vinegar, carmael and light berries. The flavour is loads of acetone, wood, vinegar, ripe fruit, balsamicco and sweet caramel.

Sampled at WtWBA 2013 in Brooklyn. Pours a hazy amber body with white lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, oak, and funk. Mouthfeel is medium with nice acidity, funky musk, sour fruit and wood. Nice sour.

Bottle thanks to GRG1313. Pours with a hazed brown body with a minimal tan head. Aromas are straight vinegar. Balsamic, red wine, red wine vinegar. Floral and all acetic acid. Flavors are floral, red wine, vinegar, very light funk. Acidic, acetic. Lively bubbles, dry with some lasting burn.
