Bottle. Hazed golden color with a slight white head. Flavor dominated by toasted grain and grassy hoppiness. Bit of grass and hay on the finish as well. Ok but nothing exceptional here. chandler0201 (650) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 26, 2010
Pours a hazy golden with a thin head. Aroma is bready and some floral hops. Flavor is kind of buttery and citrusy, which I found unique, not great, but unique. Kind of watery at finish.

Tap at Natty. Pours a hazy golden with a thin head. Aroma is diacetyl- butter, toast, biscuit malt and light orange floral hops. Flavor is also very buttery- English yeasty, dough, cracker orange zest honey and biscuit malt. Somewhat clean- too much diacetyl even for a English ale. Eh. Pours a pale golden color. Somewhat weak aroma. Light hops, but mostly watered down. I really did’t care for this and wouldn’t ever get it again. Not too much difference from macro shit. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 12, 2009
Clean golden pour with a creamy white head and lace. Light hint of malt not much else. Clean semi sweet malt and some corn. Medium bodied and a tad foamy. Nice refreshing clean beer.

Aroma is very light with some yeast coming through. The pour is bright gold with a small white head. The beer is light bodied, but with a slower finish. This would be a good hot weather beer. arventresca (563) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 16, 2008
Tap. Dark gold with white head. Pretty average golden ale. Sampled at PGA Tour event in Greensboro. Nice to see something besides the A-B products. OK, but like I said, average. nearbeer (5609) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 9, 2008
12 oz. Clear topaz with a four-finger head that leaves some creamy lace. Dry cereal, honey and grass aromas. Mild flavors of grain, sourish grass, citrus and honey. Light body is watery, lightly carbonated and finishes dry. Why is this placed in the "Bitter" category? It is obviously a mediocre golden ale even by the commercial description. Bottle. Pours rather light gold and barely hazy at all with a tiny white head. Nose is light, crisp, almost tart, and almost like sweat. Flavor is a bit more assertive than I thought. A good, clean, even breadiness and crackers is noticed throughout. Hops are rather mild and don’t add a whole lot. Very unexciting, but not woeful. biznizness (1128) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 7, 2008
Bad beer. The guy before me is right on, this beer smells horrible. This beer’s only saving grace is that I’m using it to chase some GOOD scotch.
