3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured as a 4 oz taster at the Greensboro pub. Comes served with a slice of lemon, even on a taster. I know that in Germany it’s common to squeeze a fruit juice in hefeweizen, but it probably isn’t needed here. Correct to style - obvious banana and clove notes on the nose and the palate. Finishes clean. One of the better American hefeweizens I’ve had.
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft wheat on the nose, a touch of yeast. Medium bodied, wheat and a bit of graininess, light musky yeast. Soft sweetness into the finish with a touch of grain and wheat. Tasty enough. drp6 (12) - North Carolina, USA - JAN 6, 2015
I couldn’t finish the pint. Too much banana - almost fruity flavor. Does not meet my criteria for a hefeweizen. Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 12, 2014
Cloudy, yellow, with a small white head.
Orange and wheat malt aroma.
Sweet....orange-lemon-banana and wheat flavours.
Pretty solid. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2014
This poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma was of wheat, orange and banana. Flavor similar, clean and refreshing

Sampled on tap at Natty Greene’s in Raleigh. Pours a hazy yellow color with white head. Served with a lemon - big party foul for a hefeweizen! Yeast, wheat, lemon, corn husk aromas. Yeast, wheat, light bubblegum flavors. Light bodied. Kinda tangy. Just not a very good hefeweizen.

Tap at Natty Greene’s downtown - pours cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is the typical banana and clove. Good example of the style, though I wish they wouldn’t put the stupid orange wedge on the glass. DiarmaidBHK (5881) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 8, 2013
Draft at brewpub. Pours cloudy yellow with a thin white head. For some reason at the brewpub they stick an orange slice on the glass. Nice estery notes on the nose. Has a nice banana and clove thing on the tongue. Finishes clean. perfect for the summer. I wish everything they did was this nice. Travlr (26069) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 30, 2012
Draft at the source. Cloudy variegated yellow orange. Comes with a lemon slice. Aroma of orange. Taste is slightly bitter, watery orange and lemon. rumproasts (6035) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Tap. Hazy golden with small head. Tart wheat. Very minimal clove and banana. Refreshing, but not overly flavorful.
