This poured a lighter orange color with a white head. Aroma was of orange and tropical hops. Flavor was similar, very fruit and easy drinking and a pleasant surprise. Drake (13639) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2014
RBWG14 Trip Rating #2. Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toffee malts and citrus hops. Taste is citrus and mild herbal hops, pale malts, mild toffee. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Nice beer. jrob21 (3661) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Reading the color descriptions of previous reviewers it looks like there may be two versions of this beer or the bartender served the wrong beer. Mine was definitely not gold and much more amber with a one finger off white head. An expected hue for an american pale. Also, the word strong is somewhat misleading. The abv is pretty standard and when I hear strong I hear big abv. Either way this is a solid sessionable pale, mild hops but slightly bitter. Malt is caramel and slightly nutty. Decent all around beer. Garbageman (487) - Lexington, South Carolina, USA - OCT 17, 2012
From tap: awesome orange /tan pour with a small head that lingers. Aroma is citrus grapefruit hops and pine. Taste is slight bitter, pine, spice and grapefruit, sweet malt to balance.

Tap. Amber with small head. Pale ale with big centennial hops. Quite bitter and dry. Hint of booze despite the low abv.

Draft. Cloudy orange tan head that has great lacing. Very nice. Maybe the best beer from them I've had. Love the balance.
