bottle - dark brown color. Sweet chocolatey aroma. Decent roasty chocolatey flavor. b3shine (9145) - Indiana, USA - MAR 16, 2017
Draft to taster at Sweeten Creek. Looks solid; a mostly transparent toffee with foamy off-white head that has a very light beige tint to it. Smells and tastes malty with notes of caramel, chocolate, toast, and ale yeast. Mouthfeel is medium-light to medium-bodied and slightly bitter. Inoffensive, but underwhelming. cheap (6088) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 6, 2016
Bottle, total wine. Dark brownish black rootbeer color. Smells malty, and then a little metallic nose. Taste is darkly dull and seems to have more alky than 5%. Leather, then perhaps a tiny amount of baking cocao in thar. Overall, not bad but for only 4%, you’d think it would be more civilized. hman43 (1773) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - APR 30, 2016
It pours dark brown with a light tan head. It has aromas of nuts, toffee, and dark fruits specifically plum. It has roasted flavors with some nut flavors, toffee, and hints of dark fruits (Plums). It has a moderate feel with a slight bitterness. It has a fairly high level of carbonation.

English -styled mellow brown with lots of toffee and powdered chocolate. Some lightly spicy hop notes. Easy full flavored sessionable brown. A nibble of plays into the finish. DCLawyer (2914) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Draft at Iron Horse. Dark brown with thin lite tan head. Roasted malt, nuts, toffee. Decent but tad tbin and unbalanced. CharmCityCrab (249) - Maryland, USA - MAY 5, 2015
Pour is a dark brown. Smell is very sweet and malt forward, reminiscent of some Oktoberfest brews. Taste is nutty and bready (caramel malts in here, among other malts, I’d guess) with a hint of dark malt and chocolate.
