3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Pale gold with a bubbly white foam. Aromas are biscuit, caramel and hay with clean peppery hops. Grapefruit with floral notes and some damp notes. Melon with lager malts and pepper. Flavours are light malts with lemon and bittersweet grapefruit. Dry and spicy on the palate. Decent.
Cask at The Derby Winter Ales Festival, Feb. 17, 2017. Orange, apricot and a milky note in the aroma. Slightly sweetish. Milky to watery texture, rather light bodied considering the ABV. Mild grapefruit, pinewood and a warming malty not eat the start. Pi wood dominance increases in the middle, with mild resin adding to the bitterness. Still there’s always an accompanying sweet fruity note. Finishes medium bitter, again pine over soft citrusy notes. Long after taste of citrus and resin. Good, well-rounded IPA. Cask @ The Baum, Rochdale.
Golden-blonde with a frothy head. Dry in the palate and lingering, it’s a slightly malty pale ale. Fin (11057) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2015
Bottle shared with dad (courtesy of dad, cheers dad!) Thursday 12th March 2015 Light gold with a white head, some fruitiness and a little hoppiness on the nose, however not particularly citric. Malty in mouth with a little digestive biscuit in mouth, tastes like English hops, bit rustic, bit fruity. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1 AshtonMcCobb (7029) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2014
On cask at the Guildford Arms.
Appearance - golden with a slight haze and a nice head.
Nose - strangely for a pale beer there is something resembling dark chocolate or coffee. Maybe dried fruits is closer to the actual note.
Taste - sultanas and dried orange.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish.
Overall - decent ale and very interesting. Mr_Pink_152 (5754) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - AUG 21, 2014

Light in colour with a distinctive, astringent taste-no discernible nose and an unpleasant slightly medicinal aftertaste. DanielBrown (4563) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2012
Hand pulled at the Crosse Keys, Notts. some biscuit, some dishcloth. A little tang from the musty, earthy hop. Not bad, but don’t get value from the abv. DruncanVeasey (8426) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2012
