Bottle. Very Dark Brown in colour. Very malty; espresso coffee, dusty dark chocolate, roasty/burnt malts; caramel. Fruity; berries? Hoppy; earthy hops. Roasty coffee/chocolate malty throughout with a moderately bitter hoppy edge. Dry roasty finish. Very drinkable. Liked this. Nice porter! (2009-04)

Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Barton upon Humber. Deep red brown, thin shortlived off white head and low condition. Gentle fruity berries and a delicate chocolate sweetness in the nose, quite a pronounced but restrained tingle of bitterness in the mouth with an earthiness and low chocolate balaced by more fruitiness. Finish has a lingering bitter note tinged with chocolate.
