Bottle Conditioned. Pours a very deep red brown colour with a good size beige head. The aroma has plenty of coffee, and malts, the taste is full of winter berries and hops, however the coffee flavour really comes through in the finish. To much coffee for my liking, but not a bad beer.

500 ml bottle conditioned. From CAMRA Real Ale Club. Poured a very dark brown/almost black with quite a deep white head. Not a lot on the nose, but lots of bitterness, liqourice and coffee in the mouth, Overall a most pleasant example of this type of beer. Bottle (in NZ), pours black with a thin beige head. Roasted malt on the nose, chocolate and grassy. The mouthfeel is a little thin, roasted malt on a moderately dry and bitter palate. A good porter. Alphadelic (2249) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 28, 2008
Bottle: Appearance, thick coca-cola.
Light chocolatey aroma with dark malts, some biscuity notes nothing too strong though. A really rounded sweet (but not too sweet) flavour of burnt toast and vanilla. Lightly bitter finish which is awefully pleasant and leaves you glowing.
