Bottle. Best before 05-08-2005. Pours dark caramel brown, small white head that seems to struggle to get to the surface, making this beer appearing thick ( this old, yet this thick ??? ) Smell is bit dusty, but quite OK. Some strong, dark and sweet maltyness is still present, with touch of port. Taste is ... Different, damn... This tastes sweet, malty, oxidized at first. Than turns woody. not like an oak barrel, but like inhaling some wood-working dust. With a topping of oxidezed malts. much copper as well in the taste. all and all, its off-puting, yet tempting to drink another sip. the collision of tastes create a unique and intense experience. Darkbrown color, reddish shine, with light beige head.
Aroma sweet, roasted malts, fruity touch.
Taste bit sweet, roasted malts, a little spice, some bitterness, warm alcoholic touch.
