Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of bu11zeye. Pours a cloudy amber with a small and creamy off-white head. Heavy, heavy whiskey aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, dry caramel notes, lots of wood here with an underlying tart and slightly salty edge. Cloudy amber color; almost no head. Aroma of malt, apple skins, butter; light alcohol. Medium-sized body, with a rather boozy malt flavor, caramel, light flavor of sweet liquorice too; the alcohol is indeed too evident. And it lacks the expected sweetness. Unbalanced.
Bottle, 75cl, at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. A brown one, almost clear, with a minimal sized off-white head. There’s caramel, dried fruits, some alcohol, pine cones, fluor tooth paste, mint notes and a faint roasted hint in the aroma. Full body, lightly warming and with a pleasant carbonation. There’s not much impact from the booze, neither in the aroma nor in the flavor. Lasting finish with a good bitterness. Wow, first Nebraska beer and it’s this good. Amazing. 130817 jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 17, 2011
