Black pour with a tan colored, single finger head. Lace present. Aroma is full of oak and whiskey, along with some vanilla, leather and tobacco. On the lighter side in terms of body. Taste has some chocolate notes, whiskey and bitter dark malts. Dry finish. This is good, but the mouth is awfully thin. It’s got it all except for the body. nearbeer (5662) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 10, 2016
Half growler. Opaque brown-black with a ring and smattering of bubbles. Nose is caramel, char, milk chocolate and hints of soy and tobacco. Flavors of milk chocolate, barrel, whiskey and caramel. Medium body is a bit thin and hot with booze, but has a drinkable balance and a smooth, medium carbonation. Patrickctenchi (6807) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUL 26, 2016
Pours black with a small, dark tan head.

Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Smells strongly of chocolate and some dark fruit notes. Taste is sweet, chocolate, and hints of fruit. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Nebraska Black Betty finishes with a subtle booziness. markextrae (4585) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2016

Bottle. Black coffee, chocolate fudge malt, wood ash, and whiskey aroma. Black with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet dark chocolate malt, black coffee, and moderately bitter whiskey/herbal hay flavor. Nice body and balance. DiarmaidBHK (6143) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2016
Draft at Mekong. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Fairly roasty on the nose with lots of Hop notes. Thick and viscous on the tongue with lots of hop flavor. Has some solid bitterness on the finish to keep things clean. Solid example of style.

Bottle at Mette and Theis. Brown with a medium sized light brown head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Chalk, light charcoal and mild roasted malt in the nose. Flavour has bourbon notes of vanilla, coconut, white glue. Some stinging alcohol, chocolate, hay. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and bitter, moderately alcoholic. A touch hot, but ok. katrinaez (2355) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 30, 2016
Thick and heavy black in color and feel. Woody, chocolate, some dark fruits in the end for a sweet balance. The high ABV sneaks up for sure. Bottle gyllenbock (10025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2016
Bottle from Binnys, Chicago. Bought in February 2016. My first one from this Brewery.
Black with a creamy tan head. Sweetish with bourbon, dark chocolate, oak, light coffee and some roasted malt. Kind of smooth and with a long finish. Tasty.
