COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first beer produced in the Reserve Series, Melange A Trois begins with a wonderfully big Strong Belgian-Style Blonde Ale and moves into the extraordinary category through an additional 6 month French Oak Chardonnay Wine Barrel maturation. The essence of Chardonnay permeates while a subtle sweetness remains from the Ale itself. Oak tannins combine to create a fascinating mesh of dry, sweet, and wine-like character. One of our favorites!

It poured a cloudy yellow/gold color with a white head. The aroma was of oak wood chips, Chardonnay, light honey and floral notes. The taste was similar with light apple notes. A very good Belgian Ale.

At FWIBF. Pours a Golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is fruity and oaky vanilla. Taste is dry and acidic with some sweetness and a little Chardonnay. Another enjoyable brew.

Pours a pale honey gold with a milky, dense few fingers of head... perfect retention and healthy abundant beading. The nose is pretty imposing - ripe figs, white grapes, soft woods, faint cherry, lilac, boozy honey, delicious. Translates quite nicely onto the tongue. Big white grape notes, some vinegar-y booze that doesnt dominate, light fruits, floral bits. I cant even begin to dissect the flavors without considering the PERFECT mouthfeel. I cant stress this enough. All these flavors occupy the best consistency Ive ever encountered in the style. It makes for such a lovely beer to drink. Extremely well done.

Tasted on 6/8/2012 at SAVOR 2012. Poured gold. Nice amount of oak and some chardonnay on top of a blonde ale. Really enjoyable.

If you like chardonnay you will love this one...super dry! Looks like a normal belgian golden, yellow and cloudy with a large white head. Very dry, acidic, oaky, much like a good chardonnay. Its balanced with the sweetness of a strong belgian ale. Truly a great beer and great with food. Should be drank at around 50 degrees, not too cold.

Poured from bottle at SAVOR. Poured a slightly haze light orange color with a white head. Aroma was some nice light fruits, touch of vanilla and woody oak. Alcohol isnt too overpowering. Very tasty.

Tasted at Savor. I knew that this is a brewery I had to sample. Surprisingly, there was no line at their table. Enough of that, now to the beer. Poured a light yellow. Oak came through along with the white wine notes. Sweetness comes through but isnt overpowering. Beer is nice and in balance.

The pour is a pale straw color with a soapy white head. Heavy on the lemon zest aromas with a touch of oak, coconut, and vanilla. The wine is there, too. Some sugar and fruit notes, though there is a bit of fake lemon character to the aroma, too. The flavor is a bit sweeter than expected, but nice. Sugar and bready malt to go with a fair amount of oak and barrel character. A subtle tartness and lemon peel flavor to it.

Bottled. Pours a hazy golden-orange with white head. Tart, peach, grape, strawberry aromas. Flavors of champagne, oak, and vanilla. Great beer. You can definitely taste the white wine influence with the wine barrels, but it complements the style very nicely.

Wow....pours egg shell frothy head. Cloud orange yellowey color. Just the look of this beer is perfect. Aroma is lemon, oak earth, malts. Flavor is perfectly balanced, sours and oak and chadonnay alcohol hints with a nice pear fruity flavor that ccomes through. Right amt of spicieness. This is just about one of the best beers i may have ever had. Truly great ! Wow....
