COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wick for Brains is our classic and painstakingly produced Fall Pumpkin Ale. Instead of simply using spice, we use real pumpkin which lends a sweetness and pumpkin flavor not found in many Pumpkin Ales. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice intertwined in an Amber Ale creates a pumpkin sensation which is elegantly crafted. Notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Ginger and Allspice blend perfectly in this seasonal Ale. There are many Pumpkin Ales out there crafted by some wonderful breweries – we feel that ours stands among them and in some cases – stands apart.

Pours orange with a slight haze and a small off-white ring. Smells like pumpkin pie with a hint of alcohol. Taste is pumpkin, subtle crust, hints of spice. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Nebraska Wick for Brains finishes with a subtle lingering tanginess.

Wonderful aroma of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, typical pumpkin pie spice. Clear copper pour with a thin white head. The taste is very heavy on the pumpkin pie spice with a lot of sweetness. Really nice balance though. New for me this year. Dig it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Cloudy, amber-orange with a thin white head. Scent is natural pumpkin innards.....almost like cutting a real one open. Taste is straightforward raw pumpkin..a smidge of caramel malt, pumpkin-style spices. A little peppery and dry. Props for being carefully done.....very natural and not saturated with spices..... how a pumpkin beer should be.

The best pumpkin beer I’ve had this season. The glass is cinnamon rimmed which makes the aroma really great mixing with the beer’s aroma. Tastes like a pumpkin pie but not overwhelmingly so.

First sip...like a tarty pumpkin ale. Good spices. So.ethong about it reminds me a little more of a coder than many other pumpkin beers I’ve had. Probably the tartness. Good pumpkin aftertaste.

Location: Can from Sparrow- Downtown, 8/21/15

Aroma: The aroma is pumpkin spice, some lightly dry notes, bread, malt, and a but of pumpkin
Appearance: This one has a clear darker orange color with a smallish head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is a mix of pumpkin spice and pumpkin, malt, and a bit of earth
Palate: Medium bodied, with a fairly clean feel, soft carbonation, and a lightly dry close
Overall Impression: Far as I’m concerned, this is a solid one. It’s way too early in the year for me to be drinking a pumpkin beer usually, but at the same time, at this point we have no choice. The good ones are gone by October.

Bottled. Poured medium orange with a nice off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet pumpkin and bready notes with accents of nutmeg and cinnamon. The flavor found sweet pumpkin meat, bready notes and a touch of graham cracker at the core, with nutmeg and allspice around.. finished lightly tart and spicy. Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation.. good feel and balance.. nice one!
