350ml CAN from BEERGIUM. 2,70 Euro.

Can from Beergium. Aroma is malt, caramel, toffee, nuts, with a touch of regurgitated chewing tobacco. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium, bit thinnish. Not a fan of this one.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a semi-dark rugged brown color with a thin fingers worth of white foamy head that dissipated pretty quick. Sly messy lacing. The aroma takes the sweet roasted nuttiness to blend with the caramel and toffee malts. Smooth light milk chocolate. Subtle roasty coffee bean. The flavor brings about the roasty qualities to glide into the smooth sweet malts. Nuttiness is there and leads into a gentle aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Nicely carbonated. Smooth roasty notes hit my tongue nicely. Overall, this one was a very nice brown ale that I would have again.

12 oz undated can purchased cold just a few days ago. Dark reddish-brown body with a very good head and respectable lacing. The mouthfeel is good too, but the aroma and flavor not so much. The dank, earthy aroma is particularly disappointing while the flavor is partly redeemed by a decent finish.

DATE: October 20, 2016... OCCASION: SGO computed, time to mentally prepare for Friday... GLASSWARE: Kisatsky Tavern pint... pours a dark chestnut brown, almost opaque body... forced before light, some bubbles show through... a single-finger off-white head holds strong to a foamy ring... the aroma is nutty--almonds, pecans--though the mango and grapefruit offer a welcome dimension... the toasted bread malts suggest a moderate sweetness... the body is smooth, effervescent at the throat, and mild at the teeth... sessionable as the label professes... frothy too, suggesting freshness... medium-bodied, but not weighty... the flavor profile is dominated by hazelnut and pecan, toasted oats and bread, while the hops suggest citrus--light mango, orange, lemon--to build a reasonably balanced taste... nothing bad to say about this offering--my first from Nebraska, I believe... a competent, serviceable brown ale that I wouldnt mind having again...

Can:   Brown pour, moderate light beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Toasted malt nose, nutty, subtle chocolate.   Similar tongue, very smooth and clean.   Coming across as a solid example.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Nutty finish, a little bready, mild sweetness, some chocolate too.   Really nice example!
