Tap at Yellow Ape. Bright orange, cloudy. Estery nose, stone fruits, oranges, Belgian yeast. Decently dry and fruity flavor, peaches and oranges. Very bitter. KansaiBeerLvrs (5503) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 8, 2014
On tap at the AQ event at yellow ape. An opaque deep gold pour with a foamy filmy white head that lingers. The nose is a bit boozy, a bit bretty, bready kind of like a sweet thin cake. Medium to full bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. The taste is yeasty hop goodness with a good dose of boozy burn. The hops give you earthy tropical fruits - very interesting but a bit too much heat for me. Ah I forgot it was a Belgian yeast beer that explains the Brett like character I detected! 750ml bottle -
Aroma - mango, peppers, vanilla, lemongrass and orange juice...pretty extravagant
Appearance - bright golden body, clear with a fluffy 4-finger pearl white head, good lasting power and nice lacing
Mouthfeel - prickly, medium bodied, medium-high carbonation
Flavor - grassy, green mango flavors, bitter black walnuts, finishes with an herbal bite. Tasty!
Overall - extremely overpriced, but super tasty. Knocked down a mark for the sticker price." biirusaikou (2705) - - OCT 3, 2014
Quite strange. Does feel like a blend of an average citrus IPA and a Belgian brew with some wheat and peppery yeast character. Doesn’t seem quite balanced, more of an odd Belgian IPA. Ferris (17107) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 23, 2014
Draft - Mellow earthy hops and caramel. Clear gold with a decent white head. Vegative hops, orange, some tropical fruit and booze. Resinous on the finish. Not nearly as good as some of their others with a huge bitter finish.

No backbone, uber simplistic, just not how I like my IIPAs. Not horrible, but really don’t like this and shared with many people. kdhittel (82) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Nice balance of citrus, fruity hops and oak. Paired well with shrimp tacos! NikkTwist (3409) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Draft at Moriartys. Clear amber brown with red and gold highlights. Poured in a tulip. Produced a large frothy bright white head that left unusual Styrofoam-looking lace. Sharp taste up front of a strong resin floral drenched in dark caramel. Some dark amber fruits in the background. Sugar cane. Tangerine peels. Pineapple cores. Heart of palm. Pink grapefruit. Barley sugar clear toys. Burnt oranges. Anbesol. Varnish. Autumn leaves. Apricot pits. Sweet, but well balanced with a lot of bitter hoppiness. Feels like a bright sharp Barleywine. Great stuff! On tap at Doherty’s. Served in a tulip glass. Deep honey color. Aroma of floral and spice. Flavor is deep and sweet slightly fruity at first, with plenty of rounded bitterness on the backside. Spruce and honey notes on the finish. Complex and interesting. Very Nice. Duhast500 (414) - Cumberland, Rhode Island, USA - APR 14, 2014
Poured From the Tap into a pint glass
The color is a bright hazy yellow/orange with two fingers of thick foamy white head and some thick lacing left on the glass.
The smell is citrus but with a touch of earthy funk aroma. There is some navel orange or tangerine here in the nose along with earthy grass aroma.
The taste is tangerine and a touch of banana with a earthy, herbal flavor. The hops here have some bite but it seems less sharp then expected where the fine malt bill shows that this beer has more balanced then I anticipated. At times there is a bitterness that threatens take over and dominate with a spicy flavor that was interesting. The malts makes this beer work as touches of Belgian malt flavor rears it’s head keeps things from being one sided.
The feel of this beer is medium bodied with a crisp, drinkable feel. The ABV here does give a slight kick but this is a beer that can be sipped and not rushed.
