COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An artful creation which began with our HopAnomaly Belgian-Style IPA, enhanced by a 6 month maturation in French Oak Chardonnay Barrels. This version of Hop God is a fascinating, big, bold Belgian-style Tripel hopped in very high amounts to concentrate citrus, grapefruit and floral aromatics in the nose. The addition of Chardonnay barrel aging adds further dimension and oak tannins to an already wonderfully complex Ale – bringing to mind tropical fruits and peach. We know of nothing that compares – enjoy!

September 2017 - Bottle share at Leighton's. Huge thanks! As 'Nebraska Reserve Series Barrel Aged HopAnomaly', 10.6%. Hazy dark amber orange, still, huge foamy off-white head leaves light lacing. Aroma is soft white wine, quite a bit of kiwi, grapefruit, quite green. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is green grape but more leaning towards kiwi, sugary with a crisp and spicy dry finish. Nice stuff. (7-4-8-4-15=3.8)

Hackney Bottleshare. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth, soft and light, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft and sweet malts. Nice floral mid into sweetish fruits and good white wine vibe. Finishes airy. Very well integrated and highly drinkable.

Bottle at LKS. It pours cloudy orange - amber with a medium beige head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, sweet white wine, candy, lactic, sour, tangy, sherbet, wood and gooseberry. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, tangy, woody, firm bitterness, bready, vinous, white grape, boozy warming, tinned peach, spice, hay and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the aroma. Taste boozy and woody though.

Hazy deep gold with a lasting and generous white sticky head. Lovely woody Chardonnay nose with light fruity Belgian earthy esters and a gentle apricot/nectarine aroma. Big full and solid flavor that’s Belgian golden malty with fruity esters and a little bit of earthy dusty yeast with a great big smack of white wine barrel complexity. Big and filling and bold. Yet also delicate and layered.

Sampled @ 10th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg, Day 1. Clear lightly orange golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, some herbs or spices, alcohol, a bit winey. Hmm not my kind of beer I guess. Decent body and average to decent carbonation. Meh.
