Hoping for a little more sweetness but this is solid stuff. In our beer world so full of bourbon barrel everything, Sexy Betty brings a distinctive and welcome character to the imperial stout table.

Bottle shared by Johnnnnie, by way of AirForceHops. Thanks to all involved. Poured black with a one finger beige head that showed good retention. Nose is chocolate and cocoa nibs as well as dried dark fruits as well a fair amount of booziness. Flavor leans to sweet with the above mentioned aromas translated to flavors with the addition of some apple and vanilla notes and some oak tannins. Body is full and oily, but delightfully smooth. Very nice!

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to a snifter, displaying a black/brown hue, with a sudsy layer of tan froth, and clingy waves & spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, oats, cocoa, some barrel influence, with a touch of vanilla. Medium+ bodied, with fair carbonation, the taste was notes as the aroma, plus malt sweetness, medium, roasted & earthy bitterness, with a touch of tannic astringency, and brandy warmth. Worked well for me.

Perhaps the edible equivalent version of the song, this is big, tight and focused. Very robust, full bodied. Perhaps not as over flowing with flavour as some of the top top tier RIS, but this is a Rasputin clone with bigger balls than he had.

Sample to taster at FoBAB 13 from notes. Pours a dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, chocolate, earthy bitterness, caramel, dark fruit, brandy barrel is well integrated with the base beer.

Nice change of pace with the brandy lending lighter fruity notes than the thick vanilla of bourbon.

Bottle. Pours out pretty much black with a moderate to big fluffy tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, barrel, sweet alcohol, caramel, burnt toast, dark roast coffee, raisin and some alcohol. Taste is complex, lively amount of carbonation, dark chocolate, some sweet cocoa, barrel, light raisin, some brandy, toffee, light alcohol.

Tap at Yellow Ape. Near black with a light tan head. Sweet and boozy aroma, brandy really leaping out, some chocolate, rich malt. Deep rich flavour of malt, the brandy is more than a hint, and masks other flavours a bit. Is has nice spritz in the feel backed by a full body but there’s a booze warmth that almost burns. Maybe brandy is not my thing.
