UPDATED: DEC 9, 2009 Nose is sweet and hoppy. Dark amber brown pour with a small off white head. Mild hoppy citrus flavor with caramel overtones. It has a medium light body. Very easy drinkability. All around a decent session beer for anytime - very simple and easy to drink. JohnnyJ (5545) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 1, 2009
On tap. Brown pour, off-white head. Malt, light cocoa, earthiness, and some grain. Not very interesting. cathcacr (647) - Oregon, USA - JUN 28, 2009
Initial pour brought forth a near-chocolatey bocky aroma that wasn’t quite regained. Malty-bocky flavor with a rather watery palate. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Bottle shared by Ryan and Felicia...thanks! Pours an amber color. Aroma has tons of caramel malt, with some vegetal and spice notes and light hops. Flavor is malty and very light on the hops. I got high when I drank this...yeah not really. Peace dudes and dudettes.

Sampled from a 12-oz bottle during Dark Lord Day ’09 at table 2. Pours a semi-clear copper amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring and minimal lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrus and flowery hops, a touch of roasted nuts and dry herbal spice. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation, flavors of roasted caramel malt, dry herbs, some dry bitter hops and a touch of bubblegum. Finish is semi-dry with a dry hop bitterness that slowly disappears. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAY 2, 2009
Bottle from PP> Pours a deep woody copper brown- clear with a thin head. Aroma is herbal grassy, hemp-rope, leather with a toasty and light herbal caramel note. Crystal malt flavor with herbs, grass, ropes, and leather with some nuttiness and lemon in the finish. Not crazy about this, but it is easily drinkable. Bottle: Brownish copper with a wispy tan head. Tons of crystal sweetness in the aroma with a hint of grassy hops. Very thin texture. Fresh crystal malt flavor- both husky and mildly sweet. The hop presence is very subtle and earthy (Chinook?) Simple and thin overall, but no big off flavors. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - APR 21, 2009
Bottle shared by Peter. Crystal, toasty aroma, very uncomplex, drab, oily, malts. Boring, brown ale flavor, I don’t even see where the hemp comes from here. There are some interesting perfume notes that come out in the finish that almost save this beer but not quite. If you want to make a pot beer make a nice dank IPA, not some random brown ale. light pine cone, slight metal .. . dark brown .. wimpy head .. . light sweetness, thinnish body ... . needs more fullness and actually needs some hemp flavors, a tad too nutty .. . goes better with a smoke .. .
