ok. This stuff costs about the same as bud. I’m an ass so I made the lady give me my 1.00 back after she charged me 6.99. I would have to say that for the price you probably can’t beat this one. especially if you are a bud drinker because the abv on this site says 5.28, but the bottle says 6.7. Thats a good ass deal even for an alcoholic. and this beer doesn’t taste bad either. The pur is clear dark yellow amber with a beautiful creamy off white head. The taste seems really good but theres a strong element of fruit that comes through in the front. I didn’t like the hemp ale too much, really boring brown ale, but this one is good enough to make this easily one of the best values around. 94 might be pushing it, but it’s definately worth the price. Pick up a six pack.... warning tho, when I did the bottom of the box fell out and I lost one! This just goes to show they are putting the money where it needs to go, into the beer, not the box. night! asedzie (826) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 26, 2008
Bottle. Medium off-white head with lacing, copper body. Aroma is perfumey hops- citrus-pine- with a background of sticky caramel flavor. Flavor is simple, nicely substantial caramel malt, light flavor of toasted bread, mild resiny hop-flavor, finish is fruity - with orange zest, passionfruit, mango- with light lingering bitterness. Probably my favorite widely-available IPA. CelticBrew (912) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - FEB 24, 2008
At Steves house, forget who shared it (LOL). Nice dark amber/copper colour. Aroma of pine resins, grapefruit and hop. Flavour was sweet, grapefruits and resins dominate, with a nice and smooth caramel character n the end. Nice beer, would love to try on tap. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 8, 2008
12oz. Bottle: Very hoppy aroma with notes of lychee, resin, and pine as well as some caramel malt. Poured amber in color with a medium sized off-white head that diminished quickly. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Medium bitter flavor. Tastes of hops, resin, bubblegum, caramel malt, and pineapple. Medium body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Dry, bitter hop finish. 12oz bottle pours clear copper with thin off white head. The aroma is roasty, malty, sweet and has mild grapefruit hops. The taste begins with vague hop bitterness that builds into grapefruit citrus hop bitterness. By midway a river of medium roasted maltiness and sweet malts join the grapefruit juice bitterness created a pleasing combination. Very nice IPA with plenty of bold flavors of hops and malts.

Very good IPA, not terribly over the top so good if you want something a little less bitter sinkr (323) - Odenton, Maryland, USA - JAN 8, 2008
Bottle->shaker: Pours a spare frothy off-white head that has some lacing with some mild carbonation onto a yellow/amber body that is clear with no particulates. Lightly hoppy aroma, some citrus taste, and a tart aftertaste with a smooth but astringent finish. A pretty decent IPA, doesn’t justify the price. pintsize (1042) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2007

Clear amber color with okay head. Taste and palate are very tea like - still and not very exciting. Somewhat chalky flavor and smell. Pretty decent overall - just nothing too special for me.
Draft. Dark copper pour with an off-white head. Big, fruity hop aroma. Fresh strawberries and citrus, mostly grapefruit. Very hop-forward flavor with a clean grapefruit taste. Bitter finish.

Bottled. 12 Oz. Pours a clear, rich looking orange, almost red. Big hoppy aroma. Notes of pine and citrus. The flavor is dominated by a strange mouth coating dryness, like breathing in the dust while sanding drywall. I get a bit of bitterness then the dryness coats my entire palate and I lose all the taste(!?) OK, I just read some of the other ratings and they look pretty good, I also LOVED how this beer smelled. I’ll have to rerate in the future.
Opened a second botle out of the six and found I did indeed have a bad bottle. The taste was actually a bit malty with a good hop bitterness. I could deal without the cascade but I find this to be a solid IPA and seeing it’s one of the few craft brews available at the Safeway down the street, I’m glad it turned out to be a good beer.
