This is a smooth, rich and strong aroma IPA! One of the best I’ve had. Better than Dogfish! Creecree (24) - - SEP 15, 2013

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2008 A fine and distinctive example of this style. Very crisp, very fresh floral, citrusy presentation, followed on the back end by honeyey sweetness, full body, soft and smooth finish. The balance of bitter and sweet in this is top-notch. Truly a classic IPA. Found to be just as delightful as Russian Rivers Pliny the Younger but easier to get. Beautiful label as with taste is even appealing to the ladies. Tap Handle kicks butt as well. ano1ridesthe19 (23) - Chico, California, USA - JUL 20, 2009
The best overall Ipa I have ever had. The taste is perfectly balanced with hops, spice and a sweetness that makes this Ipa like heaven to drink. I wish that nectar brewing was still up in Arcata , but this beer has stood the test of time to be one of the best tasting Ipa’s ever.

A golden amber color. Somewhat clear. Sweet and very hoppy aroma. Fruity and malty mouthfeel the is nothing short of being full. Has an orange head that slowly depletes over time, but it laces well. This finds a good balance between tart and bitter. Soft carbonation with a long finish. An awesome beer. MissouriBrent (122) - Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2011
On tap at Royale in St. Louis - Hop aroma is superb. Blends nicely with malt aroma. Head moderate and short lived. Deep amber-red color. Well balanced between malt and hops. Hop flavor is very enjoyable. I like the caramel malt character as well. Very nice body. thehinge (292) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - SEP 4, 2006
This has a big piney aroma.....love that. Pours a bright orange with an off white head. Lacing is plentiful. There’s not much to dislike about this IPA. Caramelly, fruity front end with a balanced, hoppy finish. Very good for the style. Beerzila (7) - Sumner, Washington, USA - NOV 5, 2012 does not count
One of my favorite IPAs. Very citrus aroma and taste. Good flavor and not to much bite. It could be a little more bitter so if your looking for a very hoppy and bitter IPA you won't get it here. It is a good tasting IPA that is easy to drink.

Pour is an almost clear, slight haze, orange gold light copper.Probably my favorate color for ipa. Creamy short head, leaving creamy froth.
Excellent hoppy aroma with floral/fruit /spicevanilla sugar cookie, dank, pungent hop, slight malty carmel.Near perfect.Complex and well rounded aroma.-alot going on.
Taste is matched with nice smooth mellow carmel maltiness. Resin.Very creamy texture with nice fresh hop flavor, with a nice mild but pungent bitterness.Very nice hop layering with the mild mellow malt sweetness. This may be my new favorate ipa.Wow this is really, really good. A beer to drink in Heaven(with hummingbirds?) Ha
