(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours clear, deep golden with a white, lacing head. Very fresh and fruity hop aroma. Fairly light in body with a weak malt base, but the aroma hops are incredibly fresh and fruity with accents of peaches and exotic fruits. The finish is dry but not really bitter. 290307 bhensonb (15195) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 23, 2007
12 oz. bottle. Nice floral hop aroma backed by some pale malt. Light amber color with a minimal off-white head. Some citrus aroma as the glass approaches the lips. A bit thin in body, and mild in carbonation. The flavor is citrus, with a touch of grapefruit. The malt is not participating strongly. The finish is dry, even a bit astringent. Nice persisting bitter. Very nice in the hophead sense. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 9, 2002
UPDATED: APR 14, 2004 Clear amber body topped by small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit. Taste is mild sweet, pine of medium bitterness. Dry, medium body. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 3, 2005
(Bottle) Pours a clear golden-amber body with a large white head. Citrus aroma. Mild hoppy flavor. Bitter finish. Dogbrick (13013) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 1, 2003
Courtesy of Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. I was a little suprised when I prepared to open the bottle when I noticed it was a little over half full. Seeing as there was not a 1/2 bottle of spilled beer in my suitcase when we came back, I am assuming it was bottled that way. Sure enough, it was not flat or anything - just not full! Anyway, the beer pours a murky light orange color with a medium white head that did not last too long. Nicely bitter aroma. Flavor is hoppy but not real strong (at least in terms of West Coast style APAs). Decent malt balance and the finish is crisp and refreshing. I'd get this again next time I am in CA.

"not a bad pale...a little on the hoppy side for the style, but with more than enough malt to balance. light color and body, but flavorful and aromatic."

hazy orange, fine off white head, webs of lace, sweet floral hop aroma, creamy body, sweet malt flavor, nice carmel sweetness beautifully blended with mellow hop flavor, light bitterness, a wonderful flavorable sessionable pale ale
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 8/10; Overall: 14/20
Pours hazy deep dark straw with off-white head. Nose is juicy wet hops, tropical fruit. Tastes piney hoppy, with a solid malt bill, and some grapferuit, tangerine, and piney notes. DuffMan (10434) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 23, 2009
Bright orange, thick off-white head with early scant lace. Very fruity aroma of nectarines and melons. Caramel malt and citrus resinous hops, surprisingly little of the fruit aroma translates onto the palate. Very flavourful and very sessionable! marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 29, 2008
This orange/copper ale poured with a fluffy off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a smooth hoppy flavor with out too much bitterness, and light carbonation with a sharp bite at the finish.
