3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark copper pour with a 2 finger, creamy, slightly soapy beige head that has decent retention and leaves good lacing. Aroma of caramel, citrus, crusty bread, spicy grain and earthy, woody notes. Flavor is sweet caramel and bready malt and yeast up front, then some earthy and spicy hops, husky grain, light woody notes and some bitter citrus and toast fade. Light to medium body with a neutral, but somewhat sharp acidic feel throughout and a light, slightly sharp feel throughout. Not bad, nothing to rave about, but on the better side for an Amber ale. I never take rating points from beers for the price I am willing to pay for them, but $12/6pk for this is a joke. I bought it on a whim, won’t do that again.
From old tasting notes. Hazy, amber orange color. Huge thick whipped cream beige head. Fruity malt nose. Crisp fruity malt flavor upfront. Big bitter hop finish. Very tasty. 17Beer (354) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Dusty malt and caramel aromas. Pours red brown with tight fast dissipating tan head. Very malty with some sweet notes and a sour finish. Good. jana82 (1) - - FEB 17, 2017 does not count
This brew has a wonderful aroma. However, it tastes like soap. I pick up on some Irish Spring notes with a hint of Dial Gold floating in the wind. Just enough to make me gag, but not quite enough to make me hurl. I rate this one a 2. solidfunk (8964) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - JAN 29, 2017
Some rust and a little citrus. Decent malt backbone. Decent for style like a Canadian tuxedo. Amber pour with decent head. Tap somewhere - old rating. Homer321 (5072) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JAN 27, 2017
Bottle to teku. Holy awesome, another damn amber ale. How did I get this? Why would someone do this to me? Oh well, I need room in the fridge for the two 12pack boxes that showed up today. Aroma of garbaged caramal, light buttered bread, sweet candy and brittle. Just what everyone wants. pours a reddish color with a small offwhite head. Taste is not that horrific if you’re used to drinking shitty amber ales. I’d put this one in the top third of this shit tier style of beer. It doesn’t taste as bad as it smells and it has lightly bitter quality to balance all the other seemingly sweet and butter aspects that the aroma would indicate. Overall, I’d rather not drink then drink this beer, but for the style, I’d say its decent. Can we ban the style now and move on?

Clear brilliant Amber under a thick fluffy ivory head. Mellow biscuity Amber aroma. Bright copper and toffee malt flavor with a mild earthy bitterness and a little toasted bread crust. Average but tasty. geologyguy (1604) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - OCT 8, 2016

Quite interesting. A little strong abut fine to drink and it is a little thick too. Had it without cooling it too much. katrinaez (2021) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2016
Nice enough for a low ABV red. Very mild malt aroma. Lightly sweet with the malts. Even brown red color. Taste is light, a bit watery in palate. Tiny touch of hops. Bottle
