Cask @ Battersea Beer Festival 2008. Nose of butter, malt and sugar. Pours an opaque brown coloured beer with a small head. Soft and chewy with a yeasty taste. Some hops and alcohol but not terribly balanced. There is lingering maltiness and spiky hops. Too weed like.

(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick, off-white foamy head. Slightly dusty and sweet aroma with a distinctive citousy hop aroma. Light-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with an almost crispy carbonation. Slightly roasted, malt accented taste with an underlying citrousy fruitiness; moderately dry, slightly bitter finish with an aromatic hoppy tinge.

Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2007
Draught @ Battersea Beer Festival. Dark ruby. Some powdery choc and coffee, Dry with tasty malts. Plenty of earthy hops in the finish. Suprisingly quite lagery and light in feel which worked quite well. Confounds traditional british expectations of a dark beer.
