Leighton (23092) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2016
Bottle shared on the train during the Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours clear amber with a foamy, off-white head. Sugary stuff, with toasty brown bread, light earth and leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet on the finish, with notes of brown sugar, dry toasted bread, some fruit leather. Very good stuff.

Koelschtrinker (22493) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 9, 2011

Theydon_Bois (21849) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2012
Bottle at the Brau Haus - 28/04/12. Clear mid-brown colour with a medium off-white head. Roasted malts predominate the nose allied to a nutty smell. Very malt forward in flavour and again some roasted nutiness. Medium bodied, well balaced, tasty schwarze.

saxo (20026) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2010
Bottle traded from fonefan. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramal, malt, nuts and hops.

harrisoni (19708) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2007
Draught at Battersea BF 2007. Dark ruby colour with thin beige head. Bit of puke on aroma, then this rather nice cherry fruit flavour kicks in. Yeah, it’s got some nice fruit and the malts are on the dark side.

3.2
Oakes (19550) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2009
Dark brown. The aroma is towards the chewy, molassesy side of things. Good molassesy character. Fairly full body. Toasty finish almost has the harsh roast associated with some foreign stouts or macro darks. But it’s not bad.

rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2014
Bottle on a train during Jolly to Bamberg 2014. Deep amber beer with a rich beige head. Malty caramel aroma, roasted, some chocolate, biscuis, bread, hay notes. Malty bready flavor, caramel, hay, chocolate, biscuits, some fruity notes.

TBone (18669) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 8, 2009
[email protected] Dark nut brown color, small beige head. Caramel, rain water and some diacetyl in the nose. Very sweet, toffee-chocolaty flavor, also kind of saccarine sweetness here. Aftertaste brings some hops.

Dedollewaitor (16584) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 13, 2010
Bottle @ Brewery. Pours dark ruby amber with a small creamy white head. Nose is butterscots, vague roast , caramel and dark fruit. Dry and roasted flavor with sweet caramel and fruity hints. Medium bodied. Dry end . .

MiP (16083) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2007
Bottle, 5.2%. Slightly metallic aroma. Very dark brown colour, almost black. Nice creamy head. Quite bready flavour, slightly sweet. Not so roasted. Tastes as if it is a bit past BB date, but there is only a date, no year on the label.
