(Bottle, 0.5 l, thanks VastActiv/TimoA, 20170707) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, grass and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, malts, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A too sweet märzen.

Bottle 0.5l at Ilmonen, Helsinki. Color is cloudy golden with small white. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, grain and malts. Strange sweet ripe elements.

Never been to Annafest. Every year I say I’ll go. Won’t manage it this year either. Next year for sure, right? Anyway I was happy to find some fresh Festbier at the drinks market in Forchheim. Having had lots of Munich festbiers, my expectations were low -- they are often too sweet and one-dimensional for their strength. Not this one. Clear gold color, and white foam that fades. Pleasant herbal-earthy hop nose embraced by nutty caramel-honey pale malt. Honey-like sweetness melds perfectly with herbal hop flavor and just enough bitter bite. Herbal-honey bittersweet finish. Very tasty beer; grabbed a few bottles and wish I’d grabbed more. Right. Better do that Annafest next year then.

→ Sehr leckeres Festbier! Vielen Dank an wastl! 12/12/11/12

Bottle from Forchheim. The beer pours out in a clear golden-brown colour ith steady low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and malt with some strawy hints. Taste of hops, straw, nuts, basement, dust, grains, bread and mild berries. Drinkable and enjoyable. Solid and good beer.

Flasche von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Helles Goldbraun, klar, bescheidene Schaumentwicklung.

Tap at the Neder Keller, brown, malty, an alcoholic bite, lightly hopped, a bit sweet, quaffable but a bit dull.
