330 ml. bottle sampled. Bottle obtained in a big Israeli trade.BBF 20/03/2015. Close to the end. Hazy dark amber, little bubbles. Nose is sweet moldy grandmother candy, sticky, oddly sweet, very dusty,.. Taste is odd sticky dusty grandmother candy, herbal, leaves, lots of dust,… Sticky sugar & candy body; Very odd, oddly sweet with lots of dust old expired old people candy sweetness. Doesn’t really work & way too sweet to begin with for what it should be.

Pours unclear amberbrown , no real head. Smell is sweet , harsh malts . some dryness to it as well . Taste is some bitternes , malty back , some sweetness ( sugars ) . Some spices reminding of soda’s . Ok ... thirst-giving sweetness in the finish .

Bottle (BB 03/15). Hazy amber-brown with a small head, poor retention. Aroma of dark bread, caramel and dried fruits. Sweetish, malty, cooked vegetables, weird bitterness, alcoholic, with sour bread and metallic aftertaste. Light-medium bodied, light carbonation. OK aroma, bad flavors. Barely drinkable.

HoopsandHops (62) - ISRAEL - SEP 21, 2014
Bottle in Jerusalem. Exp date: 3/2015. Pours a clear reddish copper with two fingers of beige head that eventually settles to a thin layer of soapy bubbles. Carbonation in the glass is almost nil. Aroma is rich and nicely complex: barrel-aged red wine, old wood, yeast, date syrup, sugared apple, candy. Taste does not disappoint either: sweet dried dark fruits a-la dark raisins and prunes, dates, date syrup, fig. Body is medium, carbonation is very light, texture is slick, finish is long. Some nice lacing on the glass. Bottom line: outstanding.

kerenmk (5357) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle. Cloudy dark amber. Sweet aroma, like vanilla essence. Sweet taste, a little like sweetened malt drink and raisins. Smooth, medium bodied, mild carbonation and sweet finish.

gyllenbock (10025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 21, 2013
Bottle in Tel Aviv, July 2013. A bit hazy dark brown with a medium head. On the sweet side with a lot of malt. Also some alcohol, dried fruit, caramel and bread. Not the best one.

beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - JUL 19, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Murky brownish color with a minimal head that wont stay. Dirty aroma of earth, light chocolate, dark caramel malt and cake. Sweet, malty, low bitterness, faint nuttiness, some baked fruits. Medium bodied, cloying and alcoholic. Off the style and a bit weird.

tomer (3845) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - JUL 6, 2013
Bottle, bubbley mocha head, murky light brown colour, aroma of honey drops dried fruits and sour bread, flavour of candy, vanil, caramel and dried fruits, sweetness overpowering the light bitterness, light alcoholic presence. Quite bad.

zvikar (6575) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JUL 6, 2013
Pours brown with a decent beige head, aroma of malt, caramel, clove, cinnamon, flavor is a bit sour with lots of bread, dark bread, pepper, oregano, medium bodied, not good

ThreeCats (1011) - ISRAEL - JUN 23, 2013
Small head over hazy mahogany body. Aroma of dark fruit, dark caramel, some bread, some roast, some nut. Taste of fig/plum/date, dark caramel, brown sugar, Brazil nuts, oak... A lot going in the flavor, maybe too much, combined with a distinct boozy taste in the palate this amounts to bigger and more complex than an easy-drinking maibock.
