Poured chocolately brown with thin tan head. I would regard this the best Mexican beer I’ve had. Compliments spicy food well without interfering. Malty flavor with a slite bitterenss.

Poured a deep chocolatey brown with a half inch of tan head. Nice rich malty aroma, bready and nutty. The flavor is clean and malty, a nice toasted bread, with some bitterness and hints of hops. A clean finish with light body. This beer is very well made, and highly drinkable, a nice summer alternative to all those yellow beers.

I drank this one straight from the bottle. So, take heed. Not my most accurate rating. I remember this beer being a good cut above the other Mexican imports I’ve had. I think of Negra Modelo as the Samuel Adams of Mexico. Is that so wrong?

Casa Fiesta - in a bottle - Pours light brown with a very light head. Aroma is not much. A little malt and the flavor is about the same. Put a lime in this one quick it will give it some flavor. At least this is the best you can get in most mexican restaurants. If you have to drink Mexican beer choose this one..

12 oz bottle. Light brown coloured beer, fast fading head. Little aroma, flavour of pale malt, charcoal, and dust. A bit of apple aroma. Thin body... poured the rest out my hostel window.

Reddish brown with a thin tan head. Light sweet malty aroma. Light, slightly watery malt taste. Not too bad.

Bottle (5.3%). CO2 aroma. Brown colour, small bright head. Thin flavour with a tiny hint of malt. Slightly malty aftertaste. Too highly carbonated for me.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2007 My favorite Mexicam beer. Some bitterness, nice color, a chemical head detracts, but a lot better than Corona or Tecate. Very drinkable for a dark lager...actually more of a Vienna.

This is one of the better Mexican beers. I just have to be in the mood for a darker beer. This has somewhat of a full flavor and by itself is good, but a little too full for chips and salsa. I like a lighter flavored beer when I have Mexican. This is a dark fuller flavored lager. Nice dark amber with a modest white head. Malt is the definate predominate flavor.

Bottle: Light caramel, roasty, nutty, and lgiht hop aroma. Pours a dark transparent amber with an off-white head. Light caramel, light fruit, and light hops. Not great, but not nearly as bad as I expected.
