Pours a deep brown color with a miniscule amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is slightly malty and caramely, but not much else going on. Very light and watery without much in the way of flavor. I agree with the comment below that its good for spicey foods, but not much else.

Bottle. Pours a deep brown with a moderate light tan head. Nice malt flavor with some caramel sweetness. Tastes a bit "light" given its coloring, but a pleasant beer to enjoy with some spicy Mexican food.

BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JUL 10, 2005
Bottle; Looks amber in color, average sized, off-white head. Good lacing. Malty aroma, grain/hay. Light taste of lemon. Light and watery body.

Bottle. Very dark amber beer with a good head. Not much aroma. Some citrus tones to go with a hint of malt in the flavor. Light and easy to drink without too many off flavors.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2005 Bottle. This beer gets way too much credit, generally by people that confuse "dark" with "bitter" or "flavorful" or "strong." Some flavors of roasted grain and caramel, but comes off as watery and boring. If you’re gonna drink Mexican go with Dos Equis Amber, or better yet, water.

stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 8, 2005
pours dark with a little head, tastes smoked (im not a big fan of smoked beer) and a little watery for the body, making it smooth, has a good smell though, this is drinkable.

One of the few dark lagers I enjoy. Good taste, goes great with carne asada. Also happens to be one of the few Mexican beers I consume indoors and with my shirt on.

telepork (84) - USA - JUN 22, 2005
Great color. I’d say more of a walnut or mahogany color than amber. Nice but thin cream head. Crisp and nice on the palate, but still smooth and smokey. Tastes smokey and a bit of both caramel and ceral flavors. Light bitter aftertaste and faintly metallic. Always a good beer for any occasion.

Dark amber colour with thin off white head. Carmel malt nose. Mild carmel malt taste with tangy carbonated finish.
