12 oz bottle. Light brown coloured beer, fast fading head. Little aroma, flavour of pale malt, charcoal, and dust. A bit of apple aroma. Thin body... poured the rest out my hostel window.

Reddish brown with a thin tan head. Light sweet malty aroma. Light, slightly watery malt taste. Not too bad.

Bottle (5.3%). CO2 aroma. Brown colour, small bright head. Thin flavour with a tiny hint of malt. Slightly malty aftertaste. Too highly carbonated for me.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2007 My favorite Mexicam beer. Some bitterness, nice color, a chemical head detracts, but a lot better than Corona or Tecate. Very drinkable for a dark lager...actually more of a Vienna.

This is one of the better Mexican beers. I just have to be in the mood for a darker beer. This has somewhat of a full flavor and by itself is good, but a little too full for chips and salsa. I like a lighter flavored beer when I have Mexican. This is a dark fuller flavored lager. Nice dark amber with a modest white head. Malt is the definate predominate flavor.

Bottle: Light caramel, roasty, nutty, and lgiht hop aroma. Pours a dark transparent amber with an off-white head. Light caramel, light fruit, and light hops. Not great, but not nearly as bad as I expected.

Brown with off-white head. Quck dissipating off-white head at that. Banana aroma, cinammon taste, dry but watery finish. Fair.

This is another beer enjoyed on the beach at Cabo San Lucas. The color was amber and the head was modest. This was the best of Modelo beers enjoyed in Mexico. Little malt flavor and most taste of the mexican beers consumed in Mexico.

Had in the bottle at a BBQ. A little carmel, a bit chewy. Didn’t appear to be all that dark, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, since I drank it from the bottle. I must be turning into a lightweight lately, low alcohol (<8%abv) have been buzzing me regardless of when I ate last. Oh well, can’t complain. Nothing super special here, but much better than Corona.

Brown beer with little head. Little aroma. Flavor is a little better. Has some malts and caramel, nothing overpowering. An adequate match to a good Mexican meal. Hard to imagine this coming from the same brewery as that donkey piss Corona.
