Bottle pours hazy brown with tan head. Aroma-toasted grain with a hint of butterscotch
Flavor-Semi sweet roast malt that is really smooth. Medium mouthfeel

The aroma is spot on for a Vienna lager, highest marks here, Appearence is also solid. Pretty good beer over all, but some carmel flaovrs are out of style reducing ranking. Vienna malt sourness, and low melanoidans.... Beer could use a little extra hopping to balance finish which is on the sweet side....Again, nice malt aroma!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a fairly dark brown color. Aroma is a little roasty and of caramel. Flavor is slightly sweet with a bit of a mellow roasted bitterness.

Very slightly above average. Good enough when eating tex-mex. Nice toffee notes. Slight fruitiness. Light roasted malt flavor.

This one should be called Cupric Mediocre instead of Negra Modelo. Copper colored, with some malt, toffee, and parsley in the aroma. The taste was uninspiring, with some fruit, toffee, and a very dry, boring finish. This one was as non-complex as one of Mike Tyson’s sentences.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear deep cedar color, small head, lots of carbonation. Boring bland aroma, and flavor to match. Sweet malt, but not much going on here, pretty boring.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Dark copper in color but not very attractive. A slight hint of fruity malt/roast in the aroma with other hints of band-aid, popped acne, salt and water. Awfully sweet with a vague chocolate, fruit taste and hints of dirty mop water. Yuck.

Well-made macro. I love the lightly roasted flavor with salsas and guac. Neither complex nor demanding, thank god. Every once in a while I just need to drink a beer and not reinvent the wheel.

Certainly one of the best available beers in Mexico, as it is flavourful and not too heavy - perfect for beach consumption. Dark amber and sweetly malty. All I drink (when available) in Mexico.
