tmoreau (4583) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - MAY 9, 2017
12 oz. bottle poured to a shaker at Uncle Julio’s Mexican Restaurant in Lombard/Oakbrook, IL. displaying a clear, brownish amber color, with a presentable layer of off white/light tan froth, and foamy dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was malty, with a touch of caramel sweetness, toasted, with a hint of cocoa. Light to medium bodied, with fair carbonation, and subtle creaminess to the mouthfeel, the taste was similar, adding some low, earthy bitterness. Crisp, clean, and a good complement to the food.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with minimal tan head. Subtle aroma of caramel malt. Mostly sweet with a touch of bitterness to balance. Light bodied. Not bad.

roflorence (111) - South Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 4, 2017
Clear, coppery/brown colour in the glass. Crisp malty biscuit aroma and flavour. Slightly metallic in the aftertaste. Very refreshing on a warm day.

Here we have a long-standing classic that was probably my first step towards drinking beer for pleasure (as opposed to solely as a means of getting wasted) back in the day. It still holds up as a solid entry for what it is. It pours a nice reddish amber with a relatively thin head. The aroma is fairly middling, papery, oaty, neither good or bad really. The taste is a solid smooth pleasant mix of mild malty roundness with a slight yakky pale lager aftertaste. It is a great spicy food beer and always pairs well with mexican (duh) and asian foods. Good for an almost Cinco de Mayo pre-gaming for a free 2001 a Space Odyssey screening while your boo boo pops the popcorn.

HourGlass13 (1009) - North Carolina, USA - APR 29, 2017
Pours up a clear redish brown with an off-white head. The aroma is clean and crisp. The taste is a light with a bit of malts, some mild caramel. Good beer to be readily available, with a pleasant flavor. Do not expect it to be craft beer, Negra Modelo is a solid Euro style dark beer.

mabuzzer (896) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - APR 29, 2017
12oz bottle, in a plastic cup. Clear, reddish brown with a miniscule off white head. Sweet, malty aroma, taste is similar. Thin. Ok

Msdrbeat (780) - East Lansing, USA - APR 21, 2017
Bottled. Thin tasting but pours with a nice head. Malty and smooth though. Good.

zacgillbanks (5413) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2017
Bottle from B&M, Team Valley, Gateshead. Dark amber with a disappearing white head. It has a red fruity and malty flavour with toffee notes and a gentle roasted and fruity finish. Slightly thin, but ok.

maledictum (794) - Pyongyang, NORTH KOREA - MAR 25, 2017
Medium dark brown color, small head. A medium bodied dark lager. Malts are slightly sweet. Hops are light and mild. Mild taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly malty

bigericsports (89) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAR 19, 2017
12oz bottle poured in a tulip glass. Pours a clear, ruby-copper color with nearly any head. Malt and caramel taste, this beer would really be nice on a summer’s day!
